  1. Models tend to under model artic air, also it's been very rare in my experience for a system to start as snow for several hours then go to mix, granted it is East Tennessee and I've seen stranger things happen, I just have a hard time believing there will be any mixing issues for most of the area
  2. I keep noticing Greene and cocke counties keep getting the short end of the stick on these runs. Possible downsloping issues or what? Would certainly be strange for there to be more snow points south and west of us to get several inches and then a sharp cutoff but stranger things have happened
  3. Near Tusculum in Greeneville, getting pretty sketch lol
  4. Not gonna lie, this wind has me concerned. Our little trailer is already shaking from the wind, might have to get us out if it continues to get worse
  5. The good thing is we shouldn't need a lot of precipitation, id imagine the ratios will be higher than 10:1
  6. Been steady light snow for several hours, no transition to rain happened and the temps have barely climbed here. This constant light snow all day is gonna help cool the ground somewhat, also this doesn't seem as moisture starved as they've been saying? Idk probably wishful thinking lol
  7. Getting hit by some light graupel in Greeneville
  8. Has anybody else's highs and lows temps been significantly lower than forecast, especially the lows? It's been downright chilly outside the last couple nights, loving it
  9. Just dropped back to cat3 due to ERC
  10. Looks like Sarasota FL has very high waters in the street
  11. Watching several chasers live right now, situation continues to get worse
  12. excessive wind warning issued for horse shoe beach
  13. Certainly the hottest day of the year for me, my car is also covered in pollen. Just a few more days...
  14. to be fair, on my weather.gov, the forecast isn't showing anything much worse than what I've dealt with this summer (IMBY mind you!) Highs are forecast in low 90's and typically this summer we've been several degrees cooler than the high. By Sunday it appears to be back into the low 80s
  15. Outside of wind/tor/hail threat, if we get another round of storms I'm thinking flooding will be possible with the ground already saturated from the previous rain we've had in the last week (In Greene Co at least)
  16. Took the wife to work in Bulls Gap, headed back noticed some clouds lowering. Got home and about 5 minutes later this came through, pretty sure this is the wall cloud that spawned the TOR Warning in Greene Co. Storm was pretty bad here, haven't lost power yet knock on wood.
  17. Not sure about other areas but at least in Mosheim the grass is green and vegetation is lush, while we haven't had a ton of rain it's been fairly consistent
  18. Light snow falling in Greeneville 34 degrees
  19. We doing a obs thread? I have a feeling this event might pull off a few surprises
  20. Definitely graupel, guess we will see how quickly the temp drops now
  21. Sitting in the car waiting for the wife in Greeneville, graupel or something is falling (definitely not 100% rain) but it's 48 here... The heck?
  22. Just had a tornado warning issued for Greene Co
