    Totally disgusting out 2 of the worst days yet yesterday and today this summer. Hopefully we get a break the next 2 weeks to finish out July. then only have to get through August with the heat and humidity September is much more bearable

    Can you please post accurate information as every climate site is still below normal except Newark. Edit. Not sure about Teterboro and Trenton but all New York City climate sites are below normal

    Can you explain to me how we're in a warm to hot pattern when through the 1st 15 days of July almost all reporting stations are between -1 and -2.5 including Connecticut. Maybe you mean Newark and central New Jersey which still is not a hot pattern as most of those locations are around plus 1.

    I agree but going off of today's 12ZGFS Dew points the next 4 days starting tomorrow are between 65 to 70 at 2:00 p.m. each day. Obviously near the water on Long Island and coastal New Jersey will probably be several degrees higher. not that spectacular for mid July it could be much worse

    We can go 90, 93, 93 and 90 over the next 4 days starting tomorrow And some would be impressed But that would be slightly above normal for mid July and really nice weather for outdoor activities such as beaches pools barbecues. Most reporting stations in the metro area will still be slightly below normal or normall after this period except for Newark. This will not be a July to remember except for convection and rains

    Newark was the only area to hit 90ﾟ yesterday The 5 boroughs Long Island most of northern New Jersey lower Hudson Valley were all between 82 and 87ﾟ. I think we gotta give the 90ﾟ threshold a break. Normal highs in the urban areas are between 86 and 88, so 90ﾟ is 2 to 4ﾟ above normal. not very special any more especially in warming climate. It's no different in Winter when a 35ﾟ high is not cold or remarkable when the normal high is 38. 95ﾟ should be the new threshold in this warming climate. anyway a beautiful 71ﾟ dew point of 67 on July 13th In this new age of global warming

    Central Park 10 laguardia 10 White Plains 8 just did my research I'm not too far off and they are less than half of what Newark has would love to know what philly and Trenton have as far as 90ﾟ days

    Bluewave all reporting stations in July are running from-1 to -2.5 including Connecticut but Newark is at +1 with today included. We know of cpk problems but Newark seems to be off too. For example Philly high was 92* today Newark 93* most other metro area stations were in the mid 80s

    While in the New York City metro region Central Park 85 laguardia 81 White Plains 81 Teterboro 86. I'll bet that every one of those sites has less than 10 90ﾟ days. That area in North central New Jersey near Newark and the surrounding counties have a climo like Washington DC. I'll bet even philly and Trenton have less

    lost power last night at 2am as a huge tree fell across the street from my house Onto the power lines thankfully Mount Vernon DPW has cleared the tree and con ed is in the process of fixing the lines

    Thst amazing even Newark only made it to 87*. 80* today for my high. 5* below forecast high.

    My point and click forecast for the next 7 days is -3. my highest daytime temperature the next 7 days is 86*. Normal is 85*. Saturday and Sunday morning lows into the sixties and highs around 80. If forecast is reasonably accurate only 2 90* days thru the first 15 days of July. I'll take that any year!

    I think what happens in the East will depend on what elsa does. If she can remain strong tropical system as she heads up into the Canadian maritimes amd Greenland She could alter the 500 MB pattern And consequently a trough in the East. A week or non existent Elsa Better chance the WAR rears it's ugly head.

    I'm not seeing any signs of the WAR on long range guidance from July 8th through the middle of the month.. There looks to be a trough in the East With normal to slightly below normal 850s. have to remember the normal high in Central Park is 85 and 87 at Newark so a high temperature Of 90 and 92 respectively is only plus 5 and I would not consider that hot During peak summer climo.

    Sarcus is it possible to add white plains to the list. Also is there a defect with Gauge at Newark? How are they more than doubled any other site att even places well south and southwest of there?

    86* for my high temp. today. I believe I only have 2 - 90+* days thus far. I am +1* for June. Up to today the weather has been quite spectacular from the beginning of met spring and through the first 27 days of met summer save memorial weekend.

    Yea I agree and maybe it will become a new normal. I was in Japan in 2013 and about 1 to 2% of the population wore masks. It was strange to see then. Just odd to see so many people still wearing one inside here in NY with 70% vaccinated and the lowest infection rate in the country
