    The maximum temperature contest will definitely get interesting later this week. I’ve had less than 0.25” of rain the past 7 days. Really interesting how vast differences can be with these storms recently.

    The storms opened up a gap and avoided me, then closed after passing me. So no rain here. Of course it’s going to rain at the place I just left though.

    It’s kinda weird to me to see October slightly above August, but it makes sense now that I think about it.

    I’m glad it’s summertime and this didn’t happen in the spring or fall when even more people may be around.

    I can definitely hear the thunder from the storms up there, they aren’t too far away. I won’t be getting any of it (un?)fortunately. I get to watch fireflies though!

    This storm near Kilmarnock, VA seems to have some spin on it. Maybe I’m wrong though.

    I couldn’t see anything because of trees and then the blinding rain. The cloud base was ragged though. Cool little storm.

    New warning, in the box now. Looks like I might be right in the path.

    That’s quite close, I hear the siren going off nearby. I’m not in the box though.

    There some siren that always goes off randomly, no idea what it is for. It’s the same one they use for Tornado warnings, but I don’t see any of those active. Wonder what it’s for.

    Finally some heavy rain, not really any wind though.

    82°, no watch here in this little sliver of NNK. Hopefully at least some regular rain later to get the plants some water.

    About 75° or so, quite nice. A lot of fireflies and other creatures outside as it gets darker.

    Very strong thunderstorm here. Lights flickering. Hopefully the coffee finishes…

    Nice to see RadarScope now has Hi-Res Storm Relative Velocity with the update today.

    No accumulation. I even slanted the stick and there’s none. Not even a trace.

    It’s gotten windy with these storms approaching the northern neck… Edit: that was a really good storm. I don’t know if a better one will occur at all during the summer. As I was writing this, some lightning just crawled across the sky.

    That’s an impressive looking storm for here. Hopefully not too much damage.

    10 minutes ago there was nothing on the radar, now there’s a nice red cell to the southwest. Surprising.

    It’s been cloudy all day around here. Not sure what that means, but I’m looking forward to at least a little rain.
