    ICE Storm discussion. 00z H-triple-R has increased ICE accumulations for Nashville, Franklin, and Murfreesboro in the overnight into Sunday morning. Surface warm tongue never really reaches Nashville in the latest H-triple-R. Ice accretion > 1 inch looking possible per latest graphic (yellow). Boyd

    Is it too soon to say the GFS seems to be the closes to being right?

    Here in Smyrna we are around 2” snow & some sleet. I was able to blow most off but also easily shoveled the sidewalks & driveway. I decided to do because at my house the sun is in the back of the house blocked by trees. Meaning it does not melt. Especially the front sidewalk. With the chance of freezing rain. I wanted to give it a chance to hopefully melt some on sunny days. Sleet has staying power.

    Here in Smyrna it’s sleet & some freezing rain mixed in or it’s just really big snow flakes melting thru the 2M temp.

    The snow is way ahead of schedule. It is now showing on my app the snow will start here at 2.45. It’s also snowing down in Oxford.

    It does seem all the models have went south about 2 counties. The front end thump of snow has also increased for Nashville proper. The worse of the ice for TN seems th bullseye is straight into Nashville. The GFS is not going down alone. Will the Euro jump on board with the GFS & other models?

    I’ll say this. The GFS is going down with the ship that the low stays south.

    I’m going to be sick. If that happens it will be a true disaster. With the cold behind this system means it gets really dangerous for many & good grief and the busted pipes. Sigh.
