Well we appear to be where the battle line is going to be from cold rain, ice or snow. Typical for the I40 line.

Hopefully what is being shown is going to have staying power. This warmup is well needed if the models are right on the pattern that is now underway. I say bring it….winter!!

The GFS has really become a last place model for many to look at. I read somewhere that the I believe the AI Euro is dead on with its scores at 5 day or less. Correct me if I’m wrong.

With a -NAO & -AO & a +PNA that can override the MJO especially if it’s in low amp. Along with a -EPO. I’ll take my chances with that. MJO in phase 6-8 would be a cherry on top. If I’m right Jax or GaWx about the MJO?

Definitely strange weather here. We’re supposed to have again tonight mist and fog developing. We had it last night and it was cloudy till about noon. The fog is already developing.

Absolutely it’s fun. Too many cancel winter when the majority of snows happen in February. When the deep Arctic air is retreating. Most January’s are very cold & dry. Hopefully it will snow soon but it’s sure nice being in the 60’s.

I laugh at those thinking winter is over. Did many forget what their average snowfall is for a winter? Also December was cold compared to December’s before. People’s attitudes are definitely happy today with this weather. I know mine is!

Patience. We’re not even in prime climo & many are living off every single run. Instead of enjoying this beautiful wx. As Carver has said many times before. “Pay me now or pay me later” applies to this warm wx. We will have cold come back. Chances are another cold spring will happen. Which is fine with me keeps the tornadoes away. Love the longer days also.

Wellllllll seems early next week needs watching now that Goofus is waking up & we are in that window where the Euro sometimes loses a storm. Good trends continues.

Wrong. Still plenty of time to score. We have not even entered prime climo. Mid January to Mid February. You have all of February. Again as I have said the majority of top 10 snows in Nashville are in FEBRUARY! Look if it does not snow that’s the hand we’re dealt. This cancel winter crap gets old. The world is a mess right now. Let’s try & have some positivity in here to take our minds off of it.

Rains will be welcomed for many areas of TN. Maybe some lighting & thunder would be nice. Gusty winds with the front which the last 2 fronts have definitely had some strong gusty winds.

The cold is there. Gotta remember that models won’t see clippers till the last min. We’re not even into the coldest time of winter. Long ways to go, have January & all of February. The end of February I’m ready for spring. Guaranteed spring will be cold come March & April. Always is these days. I did see where Nashville had the 6 warmest year ever for 2015. That’s crazy & sucks.

As we have heard from some very knowledgeable meteorologist, patience will be needed for this winter. Great example of why not to never cancel winter after one run.
