Bigger flakes now, pushing moderate status!

Decent light snow in west knox. No rain mixing in that I can tell. Hope we somehow avoid liquid. My weather station shows 36.7 degrees.

The microclimates are interesting. Still cold rain 2 miles south of downtown Knoxville, barely a pellet of sleet.

I think it might be a classic case of just warm air getting trapped in the valley.

RadarScope has it touching Farragut now but who knows. It's shown Oak Ridge in the blue for an hour. The valley is weird.

Changeover appears to be knocking on the door of the I75 corridor. Edit: would love some obs from oliver springs/oak ridge.

The RadarScope precip depiction has evidently lagged obs a bit tonight, but it's showing the changeover occurring beyond the plateau roughly at a line from Soddy Daisy up to maybe Caryville. I think it's happening.

The Huntsville radar looks epic right now.

Too bad we don't have obs from Shawn over south of Kingston to see when the change over punches past the plateau.
