  1. I’ll certainly mention it on the next correspondence and thank you for the memory shake regarding snow measures. I seem to have the feeling that we force turned over a rock and now it will be difficult for them to step on all those bugs. As always ….
  2. I just received an almost immediate response as follows: ”I have engaged NWS Eastern Regional HQ for an assessment and course of action. I’ll keep you posted but request your patience in the process. KB” when and if I get through copy and paste 101 I’ll certainly send it to Mr. KB. Thank you. As always …..
  3. Good afternoon BW. I did receive a short response from Mr. Kenneth Boutin, ASOS Program Manager, NOAA, NWS, ASOS Program Office, as follows: ”Ahhh, I see now. Let me work this and I’ll see what I can do. KB” I thanked him in reply and now we wait again. As always ….
  4. Good afternoon gl. I did the same and even my meager growing attempts in the Postage Stamp went through a renaissance of virility. “Wow” I’m going out there and turn the hose on myself. As always ….
  5. Good afterboon, L & B. Point taken, Bx. I only have one cup, early in the morning, as penance and a laxative. As always ….
  6. Good evening Dbf22. I do understand your position/point. Sometimes there’s a throw out to get a react discussion going. You should visit the NYC forum and sample some of forky’s red tag lures. As always …..
  7. Good afternoon Rjay. I guess this means caffein withdrawal for many of us. This gentleman, by his looks, could have been former President Clinton’s younger brother. As always ….
  8. Good afternoon Tip. What extremes will it take to balance the societal human equation? The atmosphere seems to be trying. I guess the answer may not become apparent until we are in a post apocalyptic dystopian era. As always ….
  9. Good morning Unc. I took a ride to the old Red Hook Fairway location, this am. (now Food Bazaar) the photos are all that’s left of the beginning of a Red Hook street car resurrection plan over 20 years ago. Naturally our beloved city (politics) flubbed the opportunity. What could have been an enduring, affordable, environmentally friendly and an alternative to a massive subway project was passed over. Of course our own Mayor resurrected his own trolly plan. Considering the source the result of that endeavor was not unexpected. Below are photos of all, to my knowledge, that is left of a dream. Car 3303, ‘No Stops’ ever again. As always…
  10. Thank you bowtie and indeed my lost love, where ever you are. As always ….
  11. Good morning b f. If I could choose my last sighted path, … well you’ve done it for me. As always ….
  12. Good evening Bhs. If your scenario is correct, uninhabitable would apply to the sentient enablers. Other life forms could survive and eventually the innocent would inhabit and thrive. As always…..
  13. My compliments, forky. You have a singular, instigating, invigorating, inspiring way of igniting a discussion/response. As always ….
  14. No doubt the way things are at the crossroads, right now. As always ….
  15. Good afternoon Rtd, considering current social trends, 3 years from now you may be the first forum member ( to my knowledge ) to win an Olympic gold medal. As always …
  16. Good afternoon BW. I never received a response from the NWS ASOS folks when I responded with the “ I am talking about CPK NYC.” I’m not surprised, silence can be so deafening. They seem to be professional politicians, well adept/versed at kicking the can down the road and weaving a roadmap reply that Rube Goldberg would love. Have a great weekend. As always ….
  17. Julian let me say this before Irish does. Your tempting a rather unpleasant ghostly visitation from the Chock Full Of Nuts jingle lady. The company in those days had to publish disclaimers that their coffee was pure. That there were “ no nuts” in their coffee. Not sure how this information affects your post. I just couldn’t help myself. As always ,,.
  18. Wonderful memory. I took a last ride, accompanied by my grandmother, on the line that terminated at Bush Terminal on 36th street. I still remember the brown trolleys, open sided in summer, that ran along 13th Ave. thanks again, Unc. As always ….
  19. Good almost evening Will. Your services, with that degree, will be in constant demand as the protein shortages increase. As always ……
  20. Good afternoon forky. Looking at/pondering your avatar I can understand your sentiments. As always …..
  21. If that’s the case I don’t envy Julian during the cold season. As always …
  22. Good morning Julian. I usually browse the very fine New England threads. The climate, there, has taken a turn for the worse (ref COVID) the moderators, to their credit, have it under control. I, as I posted there, started reading the posts out loud. Unbeknownst to me my daughters pug was listening. I recorded his reaction. ( my felines could care less). As always …
  23. I was reading the threads and as is a habit sometime when the subject matter becomes fascinating I started reading it out loud. I didn’t realize my daughters pug Frank was there with me. I flipped to the camera and recorded his reaction. As always….
  24. Good morning Liberty. I wonder when ice mining and melt capture will become profitable in still glacial covered land masses. I guess that will depend on technology and the needs of drought impacted agricultural areas. It will be interesting to see how fast technology develops to move water for $$. As always ….
