  1. Yea, I just took an EPS H5 image from xmas and annotated. Wxbell has better graphics, but F5 has the Narcan snowmaps, nice simulated radar and Long range Ukmet plus ensembles. I would go w F5 bc wxbell maybe redundant for you
  2. Maybe this illustrates things a bit better. https://easternmassweather.blogspot.com/2021/12/actively-quiet-holiday-period-appears.html
  3. I think that still leads to attenuating waves here, but more juice than current...like what the GL are seeing now.
  4. No way that pattern remains perfectly stable...I agree. What exactly are you saying is moving east? The RNA trough?
  5. One anything changes that will cease....its not stable. Either the NAO block eases, or the RNA eases and one of the ridges will relent....or one the ridges just shifts in longitude a bit.
  6. I feel like that parade of SWs must be getting grinded between the NAO ridge and the ridge down over Texas.....it must be aligned as such that there is just the right amount of distance to shear the pacific parade to shit at this longitude, and they can't begin to amplify again until approaching the Maritimes.
  7. In general you are correct, but not in this pattern, this week....all I am saying.
  8. I have thought about it, but my mom's gonna be 80 in March.....who knows how many more she has. But Sierra Nevada in a pattern like this is on my bucket list.
  9. Should spend xmas by myself in the Sierra Nevada this year lol
  10. I'm glad my kids aren't around for the holidays..they would surely learn that there is no Santa at the tender ages of 2 and 8 months, respectively.
  11. Man, did I miss the mark this month. That record RNA just hosed the whole period....one of the most frustrating months of December that I can recall.
  12. I'd be more enthused if my inch or crust wasn't melting as we speak.
  13. I never doubted it...I'm with you on not jumping onto anything until its imminent. This is a mess.
  14. Yea, I saw the caption and expected to see a storm...hope Rodolph can guide the sleigh through heavy virga.
  15. No, I viewed it as OT. You wanna mention how it will be more difficult to get snow here due to record RNA...have at it.
  16. No. Teleconnections are one thing that does directly impact our weather. However, direct posts pertaining to the sensible weather of a locale 3,000 miles away defeats the purpose of subforums. Make it all one forum, then. Truth be told, I couldn't give two shits about OT, but since people are going to needle the shit out of us about troll posts being "factual", that post was technically OT.
