3.87" for the month (3.53" avg) 65.1 (66.8 avg) 50.6 +1 for 7am (48.8 avg) here in TH. A roller coaster month of very cool, and warm conditions. Was fortunate to get some decent rains, unlike others here in the sub.

a nice break from all the rainy months of the last few years

windy too but gorgeous but brrrrrrrrrrr lol -
Yeah in this case it will make quite a difference if the center passes north or south of them. North of them and it is with the motion of the storm.

Our lows are pretty cold because I’m in a deep, high valley (3800 feet, surrounded by 5500-6000 foot high mountains). On upslope snow days our temps get very cold also. The flora on my property is pretty similar I’d imagine to your area. A lot of Beech, Yellow Birch, Sugar Maple and Basswood.

the 80s were extremely cold, note how we did not have an August-September low couplet of 45 or colder after the 1980s. in your list it's only 1982, 1986, 1987 with that combo. Since then the next lowest couplet of August-September is 49 degrees (this year actually.) Besides this year and 2000 every year since 1987 has this couplet combo low of at least 50 or higher. -
Our rad pit didn't happen - low was a modest 39. We had 30 and 29 mornings on 20/21 last month.

some are small those are the big ones also don't forget April 2018 !! The best of that entire string for me and April 1996 !! -
Nice start to the month. THHS's Homecoming game is this Friday, and it looks like a summery day with highs in the 70's. BTW, my grandson and his girlfriend were crowned King n Queen.

I can't really think of many storms in the final week of March while early April has produced a few. Very small sample size though. 1982 and 2003 probably skewing the results -
Pressure falls continuing (looks possibly like sub 970) and winds starting to catch up. FL winds to 100kts this last pass and SFMR winds coming up at well. Bermuda is in for a serious blow. HWRF brings this to a major right over the island. I think cat 2 is most likely but the ceiling remains low end cat 3

Such a great game last night. I couldn't move out of my seat! Nice day incoming here!

Nice stats Don. Thanks. Last October was brutally dry, remember that well.

Probably about 41 N.

Is this really true? -
Taking a break from all the warm and dry chatter for a moment it sure is nice out there this morning. Great sleeping weather with the windows open and the blankets up. Nice breeze with a bit of a "wind chill" going on. Nice! Overnight low here was 48. Walpack, NJ was lowest I saw with an overnight low of 36, that was a notable exception. Most NNJ cold spots were in the l/m 40's. We now return you to our regularly scheduled program.

First week of October looks very dry. A frontal passage might bring some rain early in the second week of the month, but a lot can still change by that time.

Yeah fair enough. Looks like early next week is probably the last of the true 80s. -

Interesting! Our lows are a bit more elevated due to lots of overcast nights, though we still drop below zero several days annually. -
That was all I commented on...I don't think the series is over or anything.

I think out west and into the Plains may see some decent shots. Maybe some spills east.
