The typically drier spots on my lawn are already shockingly dry. I'm going to start watering tonight.
-
Yep, in my area it's been a half or quarter inch or so every week to ten days. Building up a deficit, but enough to keep things green. I can tell its dry because my grass (and grass in local parks) isn't as thick and lush as it usually is. As sun angle season builds, if we don't get more moisture (like at least 4" by the end of the month) it's gonna start to bake and burn out

I'm not seeing much brown grass here...or maybe I haven't looked hard enough. Quite a bit of green in Frederick. It doesn't seem like we've had more rain than other areas, but I do think we've been nickel and dime'd just enough to stave off that Great Plains look for now.

Sunny skies and 75 degrees in Maytown. -
Brown grass is pretty usual in September and October if all the tropical cyclones miss us, but I don't ever remember seeing it in May. It must have happened in May 1969, which had only four days with measurable rain, but I was a toddler at the time.

It is sooooo depressing when you see big CAPE building into the upper-Midwest and Great Lakes region then watch it just get destroyed and shunted to our southwest when you loop it. Very depressing

I feel like May is always our coldest non-winter month. -

What is the time for Wednesday’s rain? -
We wave break south Happy bday !

Thundershowers getting going in Larimer County I wonder how much this transforms into a white scene
-
Yeah not a fan of it at all. Who knows, maybe this will be bought up during the next CBA meetings which will be shortly (they've already been addressing some topics).
-
The format sucks and is nearly incomprehensible.
-
More standing wave BS this afternoon. We’ve been blocked by a thin line of clouds for hours.
- Today

Food for thought: No pitcher drafted by Elias has started in the majors as of yet. Gibson was a UDFA.
-
The wind is capping the mild today. hovering in the upper 50's/low 60s
-
Then yes you are correct if you are using March 1... but I was using the 21st.

THAT is exactly what I was trying to say. Thank you. -
There's a pretty vivid sun halo today! Mostly sunny and 58 in Wolf. Sent from my Pixel 10 Pro using Tapatalk

Yeah there’s some yore with those temps. May be the Maple Hollow guy.
-
I count spring as March 1.

I would have been on fire had the Bruins advanced too, setting up a B's/Canadiens second round matchup. What sucks about the current playoff format is the Bruins/Canadiens will never face each other in the conference finals...unless the league goes back to 1-8 formatting which doesn't sound like will be happening anytime soon.
-
Haven't used the heat in a few weeks and just gutted our way through some cool weather. Oil is way too expensive now. I think the worst is over though and milder times are ahead.
-
You weren't warmed by the thoughts of the Canadiens advancing in the Stanley Cup playoffs?

26 this morning. That's the median for May's coldest. (Median max is 85.) Sun beginning to return after 2 hours of light showers.
