we had one on July 2, 1993 when it hit 67 for the high lol. A week later it was 100+ for three straight days and we were off to the races......
-
Yeah this spring absolutely sucks, the last two were much better.
-
as long as the sun comes out for the majority of the weekend it's fine. mostly cloudy skies = washout
-
yeah you don't hear any complaints about it being dry here anymore lol
-
sne can keep the rain no one wants it anymore
-
Feast or famine. The new normal.

Looks more like late November, cloud cover-wise and feels like March, Home Depot garden area had a wind tunnel effect, yikes its was cold !

-
Have turned partly cloudy here in last 20-30 minutes, still a bit breezy but temps finally going up (53.8/40.6 currently) after a 45.7 low.

Event totals. SNE clear winner. Some spot 5"+ amounts south of BOS to MVY. Max I see is just over 7" SSE of BOS. Click to zoom
-
I'll take anything that involves dry weather-sun is a bonus too.

Actual numbers ORH 43R CON 47R BOS 48 PVD 48TR BDL 49TR PWM 49 BTV 53 As bad as that 43° was at ORH they pulled a b2b 41° and 42° 5/25-26 in 1967.

Received .29" last 24 hours with an event total of 1.41". Thankfully surface and upper level feature are lifting away so the weekend will be coolish but dry. If timing was a little different we could have had clouds, cold and damp with rain for at least 2 of the 3 days. Not perfect weather for Memorial Day weekend coming up but it could have been a total washout so we should consider ourselves lucky.

Yep, anomalous ridging developing with the flow curving to the right.
-
Hope the sun gets here soon! I was just out and it feels like November - cloudy, breezy and 58. My poor butterfly garden plants are getting nowhere
-
But when Kev's wife is around, some c*ck blocking develops around the Davis Straight...
-
Those Ditty parties are wild. Especially when he brings out the oak dongs.
-
Sounds like he makes his Davis Straight.

Central PA Spring 2025
Itstrainingtime replied to canderson's topic in Upstate New York/Pennsylvania
Finished with 1.49" of rainfall. After going over 8 months without a single 1" rainfall event, I've now had several over the past few weeks. -
This is actually just the busy stretch. I don’t have any tournaments between June 12 and August 5.
-
He has that effect on some guys
-
51 down here... but we're sneaking a d-slope drying enough that some sun splashes are showing up on vis and ground truth
-
Well, that tends to happen this time of year with the long days and plants/trees all active. And ofc the perpetual wind.

What is time period definition for daily forecasted temperatures - Day, Night, Hi, Lo, Evening, Overnight? What is the time period for these temperatures for a given "day"? For instance at my location in Michigan, the low temperature for the 24 hour period from 12am to 12am defined as that official "day" usually occurs around 6am of that "day". Is the "Low" forecasted temperature the temperature from 6am of the 12am to 12am period defined for that official day? Or is the "Low" forecasted temperature actually the lowest temperature from the morning of the next official "day" typically around 6am ("overnight low??"). I have been using Weather.com so I would like to know what their definitions are but also want to know how all the major reporting channels define these.
