  5. since you are referring to me, let me assure you, and dispel any notion that you may have to the contrary, I do in fact use my ACs when they are needed, why else would I carry those anchors up and down the stairs every summer season and sacrifice valuable window space, if knew I were going to leave them turned off? I don't like the ACs. They are loud, one is 3 feet from my head when I sleep. they about 700-800 watts each and both run on the same branch circuit, so they are pushing the 80% constant draw rule. they are also inefficient, eating ton of power which produces carbon pollution emissions that i'd like to avoid producing if alternatives are available, like a 20 watt fan in a downstairs window. If I can cool my house to 67/68 while sleeping with scientifically-placed fans and strategically opened and closed windows, and so far it's been weeks of evenings/nights that have been like that, I too can enjoy ideal scientifically proven sleeping temperatures without the window rattlers. yes yes we know how proud you are about how you love AC. some of us don't and we don't mind posting about it. not sorry that gets you all hot and sweaty
  6. I like the AC through early November..hard to sleep in any type of humidity
  7. I went 2.4 to 2.6 for a tri monthly RONI peak a few weeks ago...could be a touch conservative, but I find it's best to err on the side of caution when guidance is signaling an unprecedented anomaly. It looked even worse then.
  8. It’s the weirdest thing. Like put the freaking AC on when it’s warm and sticky like today. 85-90 tomorrow and again next week. Let’s sleep in a hot sticky room rather than flip on the AC and then discuss how we didn’t use it on the wx board like folks will be like “ wow, great job man” atta boy ! Here’s your merit badge with an unit and a line thru it
  9. At least I shouldn't have to worry about OES lines streaming over se MA...much rather take my chances with slush.
  10. I’ve noticed that too, and mentioned that before. But I’m also someone who always likes it cool even in the winter. My wife hates that, but that’s just me. I have no problem throwing on the AC when at the same time, there are people putting shawls on from the screen door open.
  11. He’s getting a soaker right now . Stealing your rain.
  12. In my two Maroon Bells posts above where I mentioned elevations, I meant I was hiking at 9.5-9.7K ft, not 11.5-11.7K feet lmao. Sorry for the typo! I came back to warm/humid GA last week. I hope to return next summer! The change hit me like a ton of wet hot bricks! @mayjawintastawm@Chinook@ValpoVike
  13. Looks like the international space station is going to fly over east tn tonight seems like the space gods were listening to us the other day craving for some space weather .
  14. Related to all things and everything space weather for region specific the Tennessee valley .

  16. Its coming! https://x.com/ericfisher/status/2097819942259159542
  17. There’s a weird fetish of a rare few posters that refuse to use AC when it’s needed to keep the room temp at 67/68 which is what ideal sleeping temp is scientifically proven. So odd. God forbid you use the AC . Like it’s some kind of badge of honor not to
