Low of 42 this morning, 52° lower than Tuesday's high. (And possibly the coolest until September.)

Was that the same year we had a big hailstorm in July? in 1994 I went overseas near the end of June and didn't come back until August, but when I came back I remember reading newspaper reports about a big damaging hailstorm that hit the south shore of Nassau county and destroyed a bunch of cars outside a car dealership. At least I think that was the year. But the reports stated hailstones up to 5 inches in size, which I don't think is possible here. Still, I was sad that I missed it. Maybe it happened during this late June storm, although from what I read, I thought it was in July.

what is the cause of the connection though? what is it about the sun that would influence the atlantic ocean so much? and does it influence the pacific as much too?

I don't know what a *washout* means (and why do tv mets use this word so much?) but to me a few hours of rain and cloudy all day is a washout. Sunday is much better with no rain and some sunshine.

I'm at the health campus and there is water everywhere. Total deluge.

Same here, my walls were so hot I almost burned my hands touching them, I had to run the a/c all night to fully get all the heat out and turned it off when I woke up at 7 am this morning

Damn I don't remember it but it probably helps it was on the last day of the month. The SST must've been over 70 by then 1994 heat was the hottest June weather I've ever seen (until this year that is.)

12z NAM has fully committed to positioning the warm front N of NH/MA border, tomorrow by 18z ..But it is in the process of diffusing in that position. Up near Brian may have a late day high - Pretty impressive overall correction by the non-Euro cluster in favor of the Euro has taken place over the last 24 hours. I recall mentioning to Scott I was on the fence at this time yesterday. On one hand, climatology and years of scorn and sorrow at the hands of badly handled (models and man) BD air mass damming was too in favor of the GFS to ignore it. On the other hand, the Euro was doing just that...completely ignoring, at like 2.5 days lead - a time in which it is seldom grossly wrong. But ...in it's defense, it was different in the surface high pressure handling - in that it was more progressive in sliding it E out of the area faster. This supplied less inhibition to displacing the warm front N... etc... Don't mean to speak as though it's already all happened ...but it's pretty clear where this is destined.

Yeah things really exploded out this way. Flash flood warning up around Manheim. Storms just not moving. I missed out on the worst of it but still got a nice drenching to the tune of almost half an inch. -
This really is a nice day, I finally turned my a/c off this morning. That's how long it took to get all the heat out of my house.
-
lol well I guess we did have some things.... especially considering nukes had already been created.

Can't believe I got some garden work done with temps in the upper 60s!

We need the UHI to go away. Make winters great again.

Just bought a Ping G-430 Max 7 wood. I hit this thing really well. They let me try the demo for few rounds and I loved it. The pro shop had it for $269 and I had $200 in shop credit.
