Just had a bird somehow hit the solar panels on the roof. The other birds went absolutely crazy—they were incredibly loud for a few minutes.

At 3 p.m. it looked like a nasty line of storms was heading straight for Tysons Corner. But all we got was clouds - not even much wind! Sun back out in Vienna.

Managed to hit 97 briefly earlier, otherwise it would have been another boring high of 96 lol. Dewpoints a bit lower today.

The smell of a thunder storm after it being 100 is amazing! Temp dropped from 98 to 80 in 5 minutes!

it might have more to do with those pesky clouds though. It's so dark here that I turned on my lights to see the temperature still near 100 here.

and this is why I hate clouds, but today the heat couldn't be denied, every time there were 10 consecutive minutes of sunshine it went to 102 or even a little higher.

Just hit 100.

98 will do it for me. I stayed around 97 to 98 most of the afternoon, but looking at the temp graph from the station it looks like it's starting to curve downward now that were passed the peak insolation.

How is it staying close to 100 with all these thick dark clouds?

Wow that snowstorm sounds even more rare than Sandy, Don! Something weird about today, it's very dark here and yet the temperatures have not fallen. The clouds are pretty thick and yet it's still staying close to 100 here

Was in the Arnold area when the storm came through. Very heavy rain. Some small hail. Lots of small to medium branches down on Ritchie Highway. Didn’t seem like such high winds but think a lot of the debris was related to weakened state from the storms last week.

Getting some thunder guessing off of that warned storm to my NE. I am currently sitting in the Ballenger Split zone.

Quick 10 minute shower here in Silver Spring but it was quite moistening.
