  2. To answer your question…absof******lutely! Considering I haven’t experienced a snowstorm over 6 inches since 2016. I’ve seen everything else since 2016. Brutal cold stretches leading to frozen bodies of water, frequent light snow events, a moderate snow event that sticks around for weeks due to the cold that followed. I need the big dog. I would easily sacrifice 90% of the winter to get one MECS/HECS. I need that feeling again. It’s been so long. I will say that I come into the season with a different perspective than you overall, though. I don’t consider this to be the most depressing 6 months of the year. I’d take October-March over April-September pretty much every time, no matter what the specific winter weather circumstances are.
  3. Big Infrastructure issues Let’s do this . Except coasts will gust 70+.

  5. On the Euro, you would be looking at a potentially major coastal flooding event. Tides are already running above average because of the persistent Easterly flow and you would be looking at 30-40kts winds beginning Thursday evening, increasing to 40-45kts by Friday evening. Winds subside over the weekend but the Easterly flow remains so the water really has no chance to drain out. It looks particularly bad on the Sound.
  6. We're up to 9 consecutive days with measurable precipitation in DeKalb. Makes it difficult to mow the lawn that sprang back to life...
  7. Incredible chilly winds to start off the first day of Fall. Just incredible outside right now.
  8. 60mph winds out of the east or northeast would be a big deal here with saturated ground and fully leafed trees
  9. One of reasons February 1983 had such a memorable snowstorm and 1998 didn’t was probably related to how east based 1998 was in February. 1982-1983 really didn’t become east based until after the winter was over. It was more full-basin in February compared to 1998.
  10. Basically 40-60 gusts NYC to BOS. At least drought ends.
  11. It’s more brief there and N winds so probably not a huge deal. If it tucked in closer to NYC before weakening it would be more impactful.
  12. Wow... that much difference in such a short distance 1.23/1.85 Day/Event 21057
  13. Models still trying to figure out where the hell those two lows are going to phase or merge. Probably going to be jumping hundreds of miles each run for the next 36 hours - ensembles rule until then. Are they doing any air force recon data ingestion runs for this storm since it's potentially going to have some warm-core components?
  14. Jersey shore to Boston is in the cross hairs for wind, beach erosion, and heavy rain or all 3.
  15. Euro SI. Do you want to lose your funding? Keep it up. “From this point forward, all of United States documents and hopefully the world’s will be changed to use the much more accurate term super as opposed to artificial,” he continued. “In other words, welcome to the new world of super intelligence — SI,
  16. For sure…but just ironic how as soon as you said that, the runs start showing a NYC crusher.
  17. 0.47” as of 2pm. 0.20” yesterday. Greenspring Valley
  18. You screwed it up when you told Anthony this wasn’t for him…too funny.
