To be clear, our coastal a few weeks ago never became subtropical, but I do find this pretty funny. Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 800 PM EDT Sun Oct 18 2026 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of America: Off the East Coast of the United States: A storm-force non-tropical low pressure area is developing along a frontal boundary tonight off the southeast coast of the United States. This low is likely to move slowly and erratically over the next couple of days while it initially remains non-tropical. Later this week, if the system stays over the Gulf Stream, environmental conditions could become more conducive for the low to develop some subtropical characteristics. A subtropical cyclone could form over the second half of this week as the system begins moving generally northeastward, offshore of the eastern United States. Regardless of development, this system will cause high winds, coastal flooding, and dangerous surf along portions of the U.S. East Coast. Please consult statements and warnings from local National Weather Service offices and the Weather Prediction Center for more information, along with High Seas Forecasts and Storm Warnings issued by the National Weather Service. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...medium...40 percent. && High Seas Forecasts issued by the National Weather Service can be found under AWIPS header NFDHSFAT1, WMO header FZNT01 KWBC, and online at ocean.weather.gov/shtml/NFDHSFAT1.php $$ Forecaster Papin

Meh. 4-2 against teams that are 9-16 without playing them, and 2 unlikely wins and beating Ten barely. And the Browns probably aren't as good as 4-2. Hopefully they get it together going forward.. The offense with Lamar and Flowers has looked explosive at times.

36/35, cars getting frosty here too

Frosty cars when taking the dog out for her final walk. It seems like we will be getting a steady diet of radiational nights even if thicknesses are high. Large diurnal trends this time of year.

Beautiful pink asters. A great native fall perennial that should be used in place of non native mums. 34 at KFOK already. Forecast low of 35, likely makes it to the upper 20s in the pine barrens. .

The only thing I like as much or more than cold and snow is getting the forecast right, so there is nothing worse than when I go cold/snowy and winter sucks...last thing I want.
