Roads are a complete sheet of ice and there are accidents everywhere. I saw cars slipping everywhere. Crazy.

After working in public safety and transportation for almost 20 years, I can tell you that light to moderate snow events are far, far more impactful. Folks see the lane markers and think they can drive like it's dry roads. Nope. Yup. Rapid onset of dry air and no wind to wick the surfaces dry. Classic flash freeze.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the models go father south with the storm the next couple of days and then come back north a couple of days later. -
A little disappointed with this storm but at least it looks nice outside.

Heaviest snow since it started around 5. 29.4 -
For Sunday, 3.1" Sparta NJ 8:40 PM, snow has ended and skies are rapidly clearing. Two day total 7.1" with 7" still on the ground. Considering the back and forth with this event, I wasn't expecting even half of the totals I got. I can't speak for everyone on the board, but no complaints from here on this weekend.

Yup. Wet roads from earlier and the snow melt from the first burst is now all ice. Kids would be getting late opening or more tomorrow if it wasn’t already a holiday.

Finished with 2” out of this nights burst; 6” for the two day total. Like all have commented, dead calm and peaceful with snow clinging everywhere. -
