  2. I have a good gut feeling about December for the first time in a decade. Time to see just how wrong my gut is. Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
  3. We got a coating in the Nazareth area (elev. 600 feet). A nice surprise.
  4. Did it snow at all down in SW CT? I remember somebody saying it was going to…?
  5. Despite the high thin overcast, got into the upper 20s last night with some skim ice on the local Pond.
  6. It either did or it didn’t. We just don’t know until we look.
  7. Now 17F/15F, clear as a bell. We'll have to let it warm up a few degrees before our house-painting contract begins today...brrr!
  8. 0.33”. The globals juiced it up too much. The mesos were closer.
  9. If we can keep this trend going into winter of holding back warmth in the Plains and getting Canadian air into our area and the northeast, and that’s a big if, then that should support more snow-to-rain/mix and CAD events. But this trend has been durable for almost 4 months now. Seeing it manifest again with next week (after we saw it for this week earlier).
  10. I said it does happen and sometimes it doesn’t…it’s just how it works. He thinks that it’s definitely supposed to happen…that isn’t true at all. That’s where he is misled, and in dreamland on that.
  11. It's only mid to late November and we're already talking about days of yore. Man, it's gonna be a long season.
  12. See, that NYD euro weenie willed snow into existence out of nothing Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
  13. Snowing in Franklin, Sussex county, per my brother. Mix in chester with some slush on the grass.
  14. In Camp hill I heard pingers at the start then when I woke up to them at 430. Radar looked almost like a mesolow https://ibb.co/tMyw2154 Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
  15. Dec '13 into '14. That was the one time I remember such consistent cold and snow at the same time. We had a ton of outdoor work that winter, love hate on that one!
  16. Lol on the people believing It was going to be 70 on Thanksgiving. We tried to tell them.
  17. Looks like the snow level about 2100 feet here based on the radar beam height where the CC starts to show a mix. Bright banding over the south shore shows way high up it is snowing. Too bad it can’t be a month later.
  18. This. Some years there was quite a bit before January 1st, and others maybe a few flurries. In my head I just never expect any real winter to get rolling before Christmas. As DIT says it does happen, but it's the exception for sure down here. I don't ever remember having snow on Thanksgiving, and having it last for any large stretch of time.
  19. Absolutely. That’s what recall so fondly and miss the most. December’s were more often snowy and sometimes so were Novembers . It’s the whole premise for my wasting winter if you wait until January. Two months wasted with only two months of winter left and if lucky a Morch that snows a few times and melts quickly .
