that's exactly what it was like in the city too - you could hear the roar between the buildings, and occasionally those gusts would mix down to the surface and just tear through scaffolding, etc.

Not sure if the RGEM has the same bias as the 3k NAM but it has one hell of a storm and it’s still raining well into Monday. Widespread 4-5” totals well into NJ and SE NY. The only good thing is that it’s weakening as it comes onshore.

Wow! That explains a lot of why the forecast keeps getting worse for this beast. It hasn't even begun to deepen rapidly and its already down to 995. A lot of the forecasts from the EURO and GFS kept it just at 988 or even 987. I wonder if we get into the 970s and if we do, that's a completely different beast than what we were looking at early to mid week this week.

I think they have the Country Calling concert next week and if they get them up, they will stay for next week.

We had a crazy gully washer on Wednesday. My PWS peaked out a 8.12"/hr. That is the highest rate I've ever recorded. It rained 2.18 inches in just over 20 minutes. Every detention pond in our subdivision was using the emergency spillways.
