I’ve turned into the old man from “Up” last ten years. I used to hope for snow/oce, now I hope for rain. Sadly, anything ocean/oscillating is terrible when forecasting 7-10 days out. However, when it arrives”whether” it’s pos or neg, kinda dictates the next few months. It is a planetary flow. I do not know what to expect, but being a borderline record El Niño this year means something……..Can I get callout on how super El Niños performed in the region?

I agree, but can’t rule out a solid storm away from the coast. If you are on the coast south of Boston, I think you are porked for snowfall totals.

Seems like Canada will provide the matches: the Atlantic, the gas. The NAO/PNA are the wildcards.

When something falls out of the sky, it’s going to fall. What falls out of the sky and reaches the surface is going to depend on the Contintenal “match” as the the warm SSTs will provide the gas.

Yes, yes it is. I already live on it. not trying to throw a “yellow card” for the shoreline, but it’s better than living on “Ocean Avenue.”

Luckily, we wil live on Miller Ave. this year. It is adjacent to Ocean Ave, but inland.

I do apologize if I came in hot-headed, but the storm last weekend was highly anomalous. We are doing something for the Tri-State Conference this weekend coming up on 10/10. (Yeah, I went to WCSU). Please, please register. Weather weenies weeny-ing out is always a good time, in-person. I’d like to meet the faces to the board monikers, and arguably save the dept. 10/10/26. 30 dollars and you get breakfast and lunch on top of “shooting the breeze” with fellow nerds. Doesn’t happen often, I just hope it isn’t the last from a budget perspective (The foliage should be quite nice), regardless.
