During the September 1st through September 6th period much of the region has received 8 to 14 inches of rain with most areas seeing peak wind gusts from severe thunderstorms during this period in the 70 to 85 mph range. Now we watch as a deepening trough drops into the region with causing the flow locally to back to southerly. With a surface low developing nearby over the region in response to this trough southeasterly surface flow will bring in mid 70sF dewpoints into the region. With Pwats also rising above 2.25 inches and CAPE in excess of 1,000 J/kg along with tall skinnier CAPE profiles. Storms that develop will be very efficient rain producers. With the strongest forcing for accent located over the region numerous storms will be able to develop and train over the same areas leading to a significant flash flooding threat given all of the recent rain.

Numerous bands of showers and thunderstorms will train over the region from late morning through this evening before we see a more uniform area of heavy rain over the region through the night tonight as the surface low strengthens and moves to the east over the northern Chesapeake. There will be a risk for a few tornadoes through the afternoon with embedded supercells given decent low-level shear near the surface low (effective SRH of up to 300 m2/s2) and decent enough 0-3km CAPE (>100 J/kg).

When all is set and done by tomorrow morning most areas would have received an additional 3 to 6 inches of rain with localized areas that get under training bands in excess of 10 inches leading to major flooding. Always remember to turn around don’t drown. It’s not worth it!

Indiana, PA just surpassed us in yearly rain tallies. We are at 38.40. They are now 38.76. By year's end many places in the East and south will be several feet over us, while south central Texas will be getting wall to wall sunshine and highs in the 80s, even in December. We'll see a few sprinkles maybe some drizzle.

We have been leading most places most of the year so far. Those days are OVER.

It's not hard to understand.

We are too far west for this Record El Nino. So we will be bone dry and warm.

The Nino is so east-based it is setting records. The Plume is also way too far east for us.

Places like Virginia, and the DMV areas appear to be right in the crosshairs. These communities have been getting smashed by repeated instances of heavy rain since at least early August. Look out once that soil gets saturated. Rain will keep right on.

What else is new.

Might clean house...only up in the air in that scenario is Albernaz. Will depend on new GM unless Rubinstein wants him to stay, I suppose. What I have trouble believing is that Rubenstein does nothing. You can't publicly complain about being in last place and do nothing. And there is only one thing to do: fire Elias, clean house in the FO. He himself said that increasing payroll is not the end-all and there is more to successful ownership than that. I hope he takes what he learned from other top sports owners for his book, and applies to this organization.

I’ve worked in management for some rich guys before.  If one of them had said publicly that he had provided me with all the resources I had asked for, was embarrassed by the results, and considered the performance of the organization to be a threat to his legacy, I wouldn’t expect to keep my job.  
Elias is a smart cookie.  Pretty sure he could read the writing on the wall when Rubenstein made those comments early last month.

The Os don't do to much on the field  very well.

**** below average bull pen

**** crap situational hitting. 

They definitely do less with more talent.

Watching them today, it's a real shit show.

Errors, getting picked off the bases.

I would be more willing to give the coaches a pass if  your in the middle of a rebuild but the rebuild has been over for years.  

Accountability needs to happen on the field and the front office.

Rubenstein needs to clean house 

Elias has been at this for 8 years now. Bye bye  

Albernaz routinely gets outcoached/ out managed. Bye bye

This ain't fair, man. I'll preface this with I am not fully convinced by Alby; I just don't believe in axing a coach after one rookie season. To me, that is not a fair chance by any means; ESPECIALLY when it's not all his fault. Veteran coach would've been better, but they hired Albernaz. But see any other rookie coach would get a minimum of two years, though! And what sunk this season ain't all on him--the bullpen decisions absolutely are. But it's possible that part can get better! The main bulk of what led us here is on Elias/Sig...including the lineups and of course all the analytics. Alby walked into a mess, and being inexperienced got him the ire of the fanbase and possibly a humiliating one and done. Not the most fair thing in the world, and he could very well improve and do well elsewhere if we fire him. I mean frickin' Joe Maddon praised the hire (along with others). Hard to believe they were all wrong and this is as good as Alby gets.

I want a manager that is his own man. Not just a complete rollover to Elias. Maybe he's not a rollover behind the scenes but publicly its nauseating. 

That's why Elias won't hire a legit manager with experience. 

If you clean house with the front office,  I would think the new GM would want to hire his own manager. Maybe Albernaz stays if the new GM has past ties to him but any new GM is going to want his own manager. Not someone with the past regime's stink on them.

It's been 2.5 years of shitty baseball.

This team has more Talent than the mid 2010's squads but has done alot less with it.

Buck would of loved to have this rotation.

I would think ownership is gonna have the final say on whether Albernaz stays. And I am skeptical they wanna have their 4th manager in two years either...that's what makes the situation rather unique.

Alby hasn't been here long enough to be considered part of the "stink", imo And that's what I keep coming back around to: the prospect of firing someone who walked into a lot this mess.

Yes to the second sentence, lol But people are about to find out how much of a problem Elias was. And if I had to bet...Alby stays. But if he doesn't, it's a shame. Dude never got the chance 90% of other rookie managers get. They should've fired Elias last year and started fresh THEN--but now they gotta humiliate somebody just coming in while cleaning house, smh
