olafminesaw Posted yesterday at 03:14 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:14 PM If you are feeling you have gotten unlucky in over the last few weeks with daily storms missing your location, just know that the footprint of these storms has been relatively small and most areas have been drier than normal across the area with a few lucky winners
Frankpc Posted yesterday at 03:19 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:19 PM No precipitation that was measurable this week. Still at 1" MTD for August. Drought remains at D1
Stormpc Posted yesterday at 03:48 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:48 PM I've had lots of rain in Currituck NC the past few weeks. Mowed yesterday afternoon but ground still saturated. However, it doesn't take much for my particular location to stay wet for a long time since I'm only about 4 ft above sea level. Looking at another soaking the next 3 days.

I am at 0.28" for the month. According to the RAH AFD, Raleigh east is in the crosshairs for tomorrow, we shall see. Just warning you guys ahead of time if it's a dud for me, I will whine a bit.

NorthHillsWx Posted yesterday at 06:40 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:40 PM 19 days since last measurable rain here. Hoping to end that today or tomorrow but outflow from the main line east of here has passed over, probably killing the chance

cbmclean
Radar blossoming in NC sandhills and southern coastal plain. Heavy returns moving through Scotland and Hoke counties right now. Hopefully a sign of things to come further north. I was well on my way to climbing out of the short-term drought altogether but then stumbled into a sneaky dry three week period. It has been extra frustrating as the atmosphere has been loaded with moisture, and not just at the low levels, but outside of the piedmont trough and the Seabreeze, most of the state seems to have been completely devoid of dynamics or lift.

EarlGrey
Soooooo dry here. Less than an inch recorded here this month so far. Hopefully we get one of these storms popping up to get us some rain.
NorthHillsWx
Worried the clouds have stabilized the triangle area. Rainfall focus seems to strongly be south and east of here where some earlier destabilization occurred with sunshine.

SEwakenosnowforu
That stuff out west is wild. However...this cloud covered showered cool air will do to it what it always does!

Not sure if this system is going to have the umph we need, but it is certainly more dynamic than anything we have seen this month.
