I’m gonna like this warm up. It’s going to be muted but well deserved.

However, I do believe in 10 days we could be tracking snow events again.

.

Yeah some guidance is showing enough blues close enough to keep an eye out around St. Patty's day for some winter shenanigans.

6-10/8-14 Day Temperature & Precip Outlooks: Strong warm signal for temperatures above the historical average weighted heavily toward March 10-11 will be followed by more seasonably cooling trend into mid-March. Wet pattern signal driven by frontal rains around the middle of next week (March 11) with main focus for heavier rainfall currently positioned to the northwest of central PA. 3/5/26|616AM642793013_1341520561348795_3818142569352382292_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_s590x590_tt6&_nc_cat=106&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=13d280&_nc_ohc=BcXhH0pdjk8Q7kNvwEQgCLo&_nc_oc=AdniSgo7kQ8tFRCIyRPOmS1BWz9WwWdnn__aVKflVohmwzkvao7IVQA9gNXGmjnxTxc&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent-iad3-2.xx&_nc_gid=U45XdYt4nKZJbXRZoIPS6Q&_nc_ss=8&oh=00_Afzx7xpqsTLIfFwMyRyOzNgAMpRw9BVgMijKgIRPzmEZmg&oe=69AF4AFA643916055_1341520564682128_2042473722258296960_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_s590x590_tt6&_nc_cat=105&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=13d280&_nc_ohc=JI0ARvU0T_0Q7kNvwFQ7fmT&_nc_oc=AdnzyewFtWpwq49rZFa5VCkiQNuO4z9shLyGZ5ctxwHhaG7on-nFZc7slWIX_8v-2Tk&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent-iad3-2.xx&_nc_gid=U45XdYt4nKZJbXRZoIPS6Q&_nc_ss=8&oh=00_AfysHdHc89B-7HGJP8i_KrX3N_iaQ2Jd_HkNb6IJHOWSkQ&oe=69AF4999

Yeah. In this pattern nobody really gets what they want. It's just sucky.

But it is waaaaay too early for 70s and 80s. That shouldn’t be happening consistently until May. 40s and 50s are more seasonal and a more gradual way for spring to spring. For some twisted reason, people think early Spring means flip flop weather and that is just false.

Yeah this weeks "warmup" so far has been an epic fail.  Just looked and NWS has me in upper 40's today and tomorrow.  i memory serves a week ago I thought I'd be in the 60's and some said ticklin 70.  Regardless this is typical spring weather and while I HATE mud....we need the rain and looks like plenty of chances to suppress the spring wildfire worries.

The Appalachians will act like a weather divide across Pennsylvania tomorrow.
Warm southwesterly winds push mild air into western PA, while cool easterly flow traps clouds and chilly air east of the mountains. Same state. Same afternoon. Very different air masses!

Seems like the warmth keeps getting pushed back, and even muted somewhat. Today only 41 and tomorrow only 43.

Was supposed to be the 50's. You winter guys just keep on winning...

Spot on.  I was going to bring this up yesterday, how it seems like every warmup that's been called for the last few months has been muted and/or delayed.

We have picked up 0.18" of rain since midnight and 0.50" of rain over the last 3 days. We will see more rain later today and tonight before we dry out a bit tomorrow. A couple more showers Saturday as we start our long awaited warm up through much of next week. We could see highs near 70 degrees by Tuesday.

While each advertised warmup has been muted, the seasons are changing despite that fact. This is living proof.

Severe season has started wayyyyyyy early in Texas.  And my parents have already hit 90. Things are way off kilter.

Yea, winter is coming to an end. But who knows, we just might have a major winter storm to contend with before things settle down. Looking forward to a good thunderstorm to kick off the Spring season. Maybe the cold er air already in place will diminish our chances here in eastern Pennsylvania.

I get that. I'm just ready for a string of 50's. Even I don't really want 70's and 80's. That makes things bloom, then when the inevitable cold snap comes, all those blooms are toast when we dip down to 20 or below.
