Feels like the extension is already done but I could be wrong. But yeah we've been getting straight up Thanosed so far, lol

Seemed like it was close according to the 'insiders'. Problem is it really needed to be done before the free agency period. The Crosby trade was great but there are glaring holes everywhere, esp after today. Can't depend on the draft alone to fill them all for a team with SB aspirations.

Yeah but an unsigned extension may not have caused this...someone suggested the Ravens are purposely not announcing it as a smokescreen to make it appear they don't have the space.

But yeah the holes are glaring (though a center replacement could be in-house)...I'm perfectly fine with trading more picks to fill holes if necessary. And it is just Day 1 so let's see what happens. And btw...the only loss I really blame on them is Likely...they had no business extending Andrews. Likely wanted to be TE1 and we shoulda made him that, imo

Likely signed a deal that was basically the same as Andrews. If he was willing to take that with the Ravens he would still be here. Losing Linderbaum sucks but no way the Ravens were going to match that, and he did have a bit of an off year last season. They should be able to find a guard and a center for around the same as his contract. Remains to be seen how effective the retooled interior line will be- it wasn't good at all last year though, and Lindy was a part of that, although the guards were the worst.

Crude front month plunged 10 cents in just 25 minutes a little while ago! I wonder what happened.

It’s now down 5 on the day to 86, which is an amazing $33 lower than its 119 peak just 17-18 hours ago! This is an historic day for crude oil in terms of volatility.

Edit: Now I know why. I just read that Trump says the war “could” end soon. But he could say the opposite tomorrow and it go right back up. After all he only days ago said it could easily go longer than a month. It must be a nightmare to trade this and stocks due to whiplash! But that also provides opportunities if timed right due to luck. Is this a cousin to the TACO trade?

Not a tough call to be long Oil for tomorrow.

I liked Likely more than Andrews. He was a really good blocker for Lamar. Is it true Andrews has never caught a TD in the playoffs (and that's in a lot of games)?

Yep it's true: 8 games zero TDs, smh (I'll give him a pass for 2023 since he was hurt...was also hurt in 2019 but still coulda done better, imo)

Thanks, Chuck. That appeared to be a good call to me, too. But so far, crude is staying down with it ~$84. Are you surprised? Of course, it can turn on a dime at just about any point. Regardless, anyone who had the courage to short it near its Sun evening 119 high is up a huge amount if they’re still short!

investors seem to be somewhat buying that the war will end soon.  Not seeing it - perhaps a combo of easing of passage through Hormuz plus the G7 countries releasing reserves will mitigate things somewhat, but a protracted conflict in the region is definitely bullish for commodities prices generally IMO.

I'm a little surprised, I have an up signal on it using technical indicators I have tested. Still extremely volatile - it was $76 an hour ago, now it's $85

An immense thunderstorm cell is moving at about 90 mph straight toward Buda, should smash into us at 920pm CDT. It would bring wind gusts over 110 mph, 4 inch gorilla hails and strong tornadoes.

Just in case I don't make it...

It's been real nice knowin y'all. I've had a good life. The only regret I have is missing out on the post-scarcity scenario by 2029, and unbelievable life extension possibilities by 2031. Some of you will see 2131. Spans will become open-ended.

It's too bad this storm is going to end me for good. It's moving way too fast.

Post Edit - Storm will miss just to the north but wind gusts from it as it blasts by could still be damaging.

Post Post Edit - Buda may get grazed a little, but Austin is going to take a direct hit. This is a Particularly Dangerous Storm. Hazards include very large hail, wind gusts to 80 mph, torrential rain and an isolated strong tornado. People and animals outside will be seriously injured. Expect damage to roofs, vehicles, trees from large hail and from wind impacts. Looks now as though this is elongating and will probably smash North Austin, or between Austin and Round Rock thank g-d. That was a close, close shave for Buda. That hail would have smashed my poor old car to scrap, to say nothing of all the poor miniature donkeys. I am so dirt poor it would have taken me at least 4 years to get even a scrap car.

Post post post edit - Excellent news - Weakening Trend. Track will be well northwester from Buda and weakening. phew !

They have their first round picks back. See what they do. They can still sign other free agent pass rusher as well, although not as impactful.

I think this is turning into a rebuilding year...And see with Harbaugh leaving you gotta wonder if some of the FAs we've lost would rather not play under Minter and prefer Harbs.

@GaWx Yesterday's close was $85.08, and today's close was $86.39, so technically this was a "successful day", with a 1.5% gain, however with the volatility, it's not that far from even. I have the same Up signal on Oil tomorrow, let's see how that goes.

Wait...why is this his fault, exactly?

As the GM, its your (and your teams) job to do your homework on this shit before it gets to a point where the deal is announced and the guy you're signing is hanging out in town waiting for things to be finalized.

Im not even a Ravens fan and this deal falling through + losing, what, 9 guys already, is not great for EDC.

It isnt necessarily his fault, but ffs look at the players that have walked. What is the plan to replace them? Is this a rebuilding year? Might as well trade Lamar Jackson lol. I mean why isn't his extension finalized? They are really limited in what they can do and stay under the cap without that done. Its pathetic.

C'mon man you're more logical than that, LOL They are not trading their franchise QB! And something tells me the Lamar deal is already done and just hasn't been announced (seems like they didn't announce the last extension until that Wednesday). Lamar liked a Tweet earlier today of someone guessing that the deal was done fwiw.

The plan may be shifting now to a rebuilding year which is unfortunate...but maybe have been unavoidable with having this many players be FAs all at once.
