I'm like mind blown that anyone in RI could complain about this system. There has been amazing trends for everywhere in RI. This looked like it could easily have been a general C-2/1-3 across the area but models honed in on a norlun for RI. Even 0.3-0.4 can get you to 4-6" and with this, that's a huge win. And there is no one in SNE that would say this winter sucks balls unless you hate snow. It's been incredible so far, nothing like the last 3. Everyone's above climo.

NE RI getting Screwed. And on the Winter - Do you Really think 5” though Mid-January is GOOD?!? That’s All-Time Record Bad. 33” through early February? That’s Bottom 25% of all winters. Did you FORGET that I got Screwed on All 6 of the First 6 Storms?? Where everyone from on the flipping Cape to even SE CT to All of Massachusetts and the Rest of CT and Everyone North was AHEAD of me? YES. It Absolutely Sucks Balls. All-Time Horrific. And YOU call it “Incredible”!?!?!? And “Above Climo”!? That’s FACTUALLY a Lie. 1 4 1
NeonPeon
A little too thirsty for the needle dick. It's a very narrow trough. Complaining when you are middle of the road for one random model output in a fairly minor event that's a nowcast? You might do really well? If you don't instead of 7 inches you'll get 4 and it's a pack refresher. There's been a fun amount of snow on the ground for weeks. It's pretty again. We've had more days of feeling like it's actually winter here than since 2015 and it's snowing right now. Where is the anger coming from? This event was always minor bar a very small band.

Your are completely wrong on nearly every single point. This is through February 3rd. They are all still above and will go up after this storm is done. Your area just got a historic 18" snowstorm with way below normal temps, deep snow pack, a 3-6" storm today and you say it's all time horrific you are delusional. There is no one on this site that would agree with you, I guarantee that. Oh and you just near jackpotted with over 7" on a storm that could have really gone OTS. Yeah it's probably the best start to winter in the past 10 years, especially considering the snow pack and temps.

I was HOME November 7th through then. 18” is Not REMOTELY Historic. You want me to get you Every Storm since 1890 that beat it? It’s a Run of the Mill big storm like the forgettable Blizzard of 2006 or of 2022 or 2011 or 2019 (2019 was Memorable for Me, but Not most of you all). The SWFE of 2026 was Historic for the country, but it does Not get a banner in SNE, it will Not be remembered for anything important in this area, and it Certainly doesn’t go to the Hall of Fame just like Bill Cheatachick. It made the Top 10 in Boston. SO Did PDII and MOST of you don’t even want to talk about PDII as Historic. And you want me to pull my Weiner out because I almost jackpotted a 7” storm? 7”?! I got Screwed on the First 6 Storms EVERY possible way. Too Far North. Too Far South. Too Far West. And even the Crazy Rare situation of Too Far East. (Which TONIGHT it looks like I’m Too Far East YET Again, but THIS time, it’s by 5 measly Miles) I can’t Spell Meteorology let alone forecast. But you’re Now getting into an argument with me On Historic Statistics. That’s MY Turf 4 Seasons. 33” at this point is 115th out of the 136 Seasons of data I have. Go ahead and tell me I’m supposed to be excited. 1 4
NeonPeon
It doesn't matter to you at all that's there's been snow to play in for weeks and weeks? I always thought playing in snow was the end game, not a ruler? Persistent snowpack in RI, the bay freezing... My skis are by my backdoor. My snow tube is in my trunk. If I didn't have flu b right now I'd be out tomorrow.

It might be 115/136 for the whole season but not to date. Impossible. Everywhere is above climo snowfall but you're in the bottom 16%? No. To date you are near or above normal snowfall, I don't need to see the records to know that. If it ended here sure you'll be 115th. But that's not happening as Cumberland is about to get 3-6" more today with who knows how much the rest of February march and April.
