Hello everyone! I’m reporting from the Interior NW & NE Burbs Consulate in Cobble Hill Brooklyn, otherwise known as the postage stamp. The first photo ( at my old man’s snow stick) ) was taken at 11am. The second at around 4 pm after several hours of sleet. The third is my daughter who asked me to send her photo to the forum.members I’m fond of and always talk about. As always …..

Last measurement for the night 15.8 inches. 42.1 inches now for the season, by morning I may have reached the seasonal normal.

Got the driveway all cleared, mailbox has pretty much disappeared, as has the fire hydrant at the end of my property. I will deal with those in the morning.

Never got above 9° today. Other than the Blizzard of 96 I can't think of another storm with this much snow at single digit temperatures. It's restored my faith in Winter.

Ended up with around 13.0" in my part of the Poconos as light snow continues. Although, measuring has been hell as I had 35 to 40mph wind gust out here above 2k most of the day. It looks like a general 12.0" to 15.0" being reported out here in the Poconos overall looking at obs.  Total ground snow depth from existing snow pack and this storm, now 16.0" to 17.0 in most spots". Seasonal total to date right around 49.0". Could turn out to be an average winter for once, haha. In all honesty, I had horrible snow growth/rates after mid morning, very fine and small flakes. I thought for sure 20.0" was in reach once I saw the sleet would stay well south earlier today. It is what it is though. I will say this, this was one of, if not the coldest event i've ever seen. Temp hung out right around 2 to 3 degrees all day. It's since shot up to a balmy 10.  All in all, this was a great event regardless. Especially considering days ago we thought this possibly was hitting well to the south and possibly grazing us. It for sure feels like deep winter out there.
