It’s almost certain they are gonna get skunked with taint Well, that's what they get for residing south. Personally, not to be a d%^^k, but I need the snow to reach up to north central VT so tainting SNJ would be fine for me.

It's prone to change to sleet here earlier than further west and stay crystally as that IVT they mention in the discussion gets it's act together. Hopefully it doesn’t push in this far. Unfortunately this will come down to nowcasting time.
nycemt123
Time for my traditional pre-storm post... When and how much do yall think we're looking at in Monsey, NY from the upcoming event? IrishRob17
I know I’ve said this before when a bigger storm was heading our way, where the hell do all this weenies come from? It’s quite evident many don’t really pay attention to the weather, just big snowstorms. Many would benefit from paying attention year round and learning things. 2

BGM says “hold your horses” and may even get sleet to me. weirdly sleet might be beneficial to some degree. Encases the 8-12+ that would still happen first and make it practically bulletproof. Given the persistent cold that’s ahead this pack will not go anywhere. on the other hand, sleet at…checks notes…10f? is always baffling when it happens

IrishRob17
In years like this, snowfall on top of snowpack, I'm reminded of what my grandmother said during her 15 or so years living in central New Hampshire, "Mother Nature doesn't like dirty snow."

My 3rd 20+ storm of the past nine winters may be in order.
