I can't tell if there is rain in it, but definitely some flakes falling. Unfortunately,  I am at 36 degrees, so I am sure that it won't last.

Just woke up and walked the dogs. 34 with a rain/snow mix. Cataloochee is snowing and 31.

Edit to add: I have all light snow now

Almost 4 here at 4650 on Beech mtn.  What a rare windless snowfall where everything just lays.

Should get a break the next couple of hours as the cold front arrives and upslope snow begins. Temperature has risen to 35 now and the fog is only a couple of hundred feet above the Valley floor.

Probably have 2-2.5 in so far on the cars and elevated surfaces here.  My thermometer says 32.2 but it might be a degree or so higher than the actual temp since I have the sensor mounted near my sliding door on my balcony.  Snow still coming down but it's lightened up.  Hope we catch the back side later today.  I hope everyone is getting something.  It would be great if we all get to enjoy this one.

Temperature is dropping and winds out the NW are increasing currently. Cataloochee has light snow falling as well. I can see off my front porch snow showers are moving in from the Cataloochee Mountains, so in an hour or so, we could see light snow in the Valley.

Just measured 3.5" here at the store in Blowing Rock. Can only upload one Pic at a time on my phone but I hopped up on the Parkway this morning before I had to come in. I was the only one up there and it was absolutely gorgeous.

I drove up to Soco Gap (4300 ft) at the Haywood/Jackson County line at the Parkway. Snow squalls are dropping enough snow to cover 19 at times above 3800 ft, but our DOT is standing by with salt and plows.
