ChescoWx
Most spots across the area picked up between 0.10" to 0.25" of rain overnight. We could see another shower this morning before we clear up and turn windy. Today and tomorrow will be not too far from typical temperatures in the low to mid 60's. We look to turn below normal starting tomorrow night and that should last though the rest of the work week. Some of our valley locations that have already seen a couple of freezes may see another one by Friday morning. Our next chance of any rain looks to be tomorrow night into early Wednesday morning. Birds~69
Fall-ish day out there. 61F, cloudy (some dark) and breezy. Follow last years pattern of windy/breezy just about every day at some point. Would be a good Halloween night...
LVblizzard
Check out the end of the 0z Canadian. It has the ultra rare hurricane phasing into a cold airmass so much of the interior Northeast gets a very white, windy Halloween. Probably won’t happen but it’s fun to look at. ChescoWx
Lows this morning ranged from as low as 33.6 in valley locations like Warwick Township to 46.8 at ridge locations like West Grove, Today we should we our warmest day of the week with some valley locations nearing 70 degrees. Higher ridge locations will remain in the upper 60's. A cold front crosses the area overnight tonight with some very light showers. After that we seem temperatures no higher than the 50's for highs and 30's for lows through the rest of the week and into the weekend. For those lower elevation spots that have already had multiple freezes this month you could see a couple more both Thursday and Friday morning. Higher ridge spots look to continue their growing season with lows remaining above freezing through the week.

Birds~69
I know the weather has been boring but this subform has been quite dead. We better pick it up or a Mod will post the yearly question do we want to merge with the New York City subforum. Of course the answer is F-NO!
Birds~69 Posted yesterday at 01:02 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:02 AM Looks like stuff to the West will come in late tonight into the wee hours. A couple hours of showers. Still mild out there at 9:00 p.m., 61 F...

ChescoWx Posted yesterday at 12:35 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:35 PM Most spots across the area saw between 0.10" to 0.22" of rain last evening through the overnight hours. With that frontal passage last night, we will turn back to below normal temperatures for much of the rest of the week and likely to finish the month of October. This means we will probably finish October with below normal temperatures. This would be our 5th below normal temperature month over the 1st 10 months of 2025. Our valley locations will likely see another freeze each morning between Friday and Sunday. The higher ridge spots (above 600 feet ASL) will likely see no more than some patchy frost and continue their growing (freeze free) season into November. The growing season has ended for most valley locations across our area. We look dry for at least the next week.

Looked at the radar at 9:00 p.m. and said that's going to be more than a shower. If cold that would have been a nice little snow surprise...1-2" with a little more in some areas. .. .

All I know is this scenario model run better not happen. After looking at the CMC noon run, this would make Sandy look like a baby. With all of the dead ash trees in Eastern PA now and especially in the LV and urbanized and major riverine flooding, this would be a one hell of a disaster for our area. I would see unbelievable debris dams in the waterways from these fallen limbs and trees that would wipe out major bridges in our area. The power outages would be unmanageable and you will not find a generator in stock for 250 miles from our region. The fact this scenario is already showing up for one week away warrants further discussion by all pro's. Even a slight hit would be a huge concern. There will nothing left at the NJ beaches for next year beaachgoers and NYC will get one hell of test of its new subway drainage pumping system. Definitely will keep an eye on these model runs as the media and so-called internet weather gurus on facebook/youtube will play this up real good in the next few days if the the model runs continue to show this tonight and tomorrow. Can you say Panic?

Wouldn't sweat anything just yet. Long way to go with it. This mornings 6Z GFS has it hitting us. Euro takes it just off the coast with a glancing blow S and E CMC backs the storm up about two days. Lots of work to do with this one.
ChescoWx
The NWS has issued a Frost Advisory for tonight for the entire area. However, many spots below 500 ft ASL in Chester County have already seen multiple freezing mornings. Those valley spots may again see freezing temperatures while some higher spots could see some frost but likely staying above freezing. For the rest of October, we should see below normal temperatures with daytime highs falling from the upper 50's today to the low 50's for highs by the start of the new work week. Lows should be frosty most mornings with a widespread freeze possible by next Monday and Tuesday mornings. We stay dry until our next chance of showers on Tuesday night.
