My forecast did suggest a slow start.  Enjoy the fall weather while you can.  Come january you will be wishing for temps above 45 .  I expect more mix events than anything else in late nov into mid dec as the pattern sets up for january

Approaching 0.25”. Sump pumps keeping pace with the sporadic drizzle. A few small to medium sized leaves down on the lawn. Will post more obs if power stays on.

Nothing official but seemed like some 40mph+ gust out there...

I will say the wind is performing pretty good so far, already gusts in the 30-35 mph range in the 95 corridor, 40 mph+ at the shore already.

Here is your clue we are getting nothing of significance when it comes to rain:  Dewpoint at 8:30 pm last night 61 dewpoint right now 50f Dry air is winning out.

Had a wind gust here of 36 mph.

Thats funny...I was thinking the same thing. I'm in western Camden County, NJ...not a drop here today. I remember that storm well- 2 feet at the beach and the precip line just stopped near egg harbor tolls. I actually wrote to Elliot Abrams at the time (in a respectful way, asking what tha?)  and he was kind enough to respond comprehensively.  Seemed like such a locked in forecast- only to unravel almost the same day. Very similar to this one...professional forecasting is so difficult at times. It almost feels as if the models still can't predict such vagaries- even decades later.

My not-so-good memory wants to say February 1989.

The shore is the place to be for this storm. I feel bad for anyone back this way that changed or cancelled their plans because how this storm was hyped. Dr. No ftw!
