It looks like we see below normal temperatures to over the next week to finish out the month of April. Normal highs are in the mid to upper 60's. There could be some patchy frost across lower spots in the county over the next 2 nights. There is a slight chance of showers on Wed night...but a dry work week before rain chances increase for next weekend.
Records for today: High 90 (1960) / Low 26 (1931) / Rain 2.40" (1968)

Morning weather friends.  It looks like things are mostly going as expected with us currently back in the top spot for hottest April ever at 58.5 degrees, even with Thursday and Friday not quite bringing the heat in the way that was expected.  But a cool final week is set to knock things back a degree or two.  I did some quick calculations and I'm going with a final 7-day average temp of 52.3, which would bring us down to a final average monthly temp of ~57.2 -- good for a tenth ahead of 1915 for 3rd place but a full degree behind 1941 for 2nd place.  It has been written.

Looks like a classic spring week ahead.  Enjoy, everyone.

Despite covering stuff we still got damage.  I suspect the ground temps were in the 20's.

I'm sorry to hear that, very unfortunate. Right now CTP only has us getting down to 36 again tonight and the rest of the week it's 40s and 50s. Might be some scattered frost tonight but it looks likely that we'll miss any freezes.

I am going to go with 33 for you tonight.  We shall see how close I get.  28 for Pillow....34 MDT.   Freeze watch in MD for counties bordering York and west.

Speaking of raining on a parade, the Sox would be 1/2 game out of first in the AL Central.  They are 7.5 games out in the AL East.

.667 baseball has us 4.5 games out on 4/24.

1984 Tigers won 35 of their first 40 games. The AL East was decided by the end of May.

It was the looming Sox and birds series that pointed me toward posting this.  The only other info I had was a rumor that Tucker Carlson is considering wxrisk.com as his next career stop.
