Front Range snowstorm nowcast/conditions 3/13-15

Recommended Posts

Our mountains have done well too. This storm is pretty close to what I expected when that big low moved south of Kamchatka on 2/23. It was 970 mb. The Bering Sea Rule translation said that system would be in Northern NM around 3/12-3/16. This is also now the fifth or sixth time it's gotten cold at the same in the 46-day cycle here since July 1.

That DIA total seemed high to me, the reason i say this is early morning in the Public info reports DIA sorta stood out from surrounding local areas...

At 620 am they had 11.1 inches ...meanwhile two other reports at that time in Denver had 4- 6".  I mean another report still didn't catch up 5 hours later..

Looking at the radar overnight,  it seems possible.   A band set up  from DIA-Ft Collins and missed the rest of the city and metro.
