  1. I'm so confused. Like, in lakewood it feels like the snow rate is increasing somehow? So crazy.
  2. I thought this storm was going to be a dud, I'm not gonna lie. But in lakewood it is glorious right now, I've never felt such a sting walking into the wind though...
  3. Anyone else seeing the insanely large flakes? I've never seen these big of flakes pour down for as long as they are!
  4. Yeah this is what makes me think this situation is unsolved. Location, temp, are still unresolved. I don't think any of the forecasts are TOO wild for major metro areas but because of these inconsistencies I am actually concerned we end up with something weird out of climate change's book, and that that might be something very unexpected.
  5. The GFS is stubborn but, in a way, it hasn't been stubborn, its kind of moved north and then started to come back to where it was originally? I'd be curious about the relative success rates of the Euro / GFS in forecasting front range weather at this point.
  6. What am I missing with temps? The latest tropical tidbits looks like a crazy rainstorm over the Denver area haha
  7. photos like these are why it is difficult for me to want to leave this place
  8. I don't really know how to parse when two completely different models are aligned on a major storm but diverge significantly on QPF amounts.
  9. we're a long way out, as you know, with modeling. if there is that much snow near the denver mountains, it wouldn't be the most safe thing to chase as there are areas where it isn't survivable out here. but the foothills / denver proper would be interesting. I'm not an expert chaser, I have just seen these mountains turn from driveable to "your survival is threatened" pretty quickly.
  10. I'm not really sure what to say when I see maps approaching 40" in the area of Providence. That just sounds so absurd it is hard to contemplate. That the Euro is saying it is even more absurd. That it has been consistent 3+ times in a row is a bit scary.
