Pictures or it didn’t happen. SAL sunset?

I was too lazy to walk beyond by wooded oasis to see it. But the amber glow was incredible. Actually made all the brown patches in my yard look attractive.

Yeah I saw that. We shall see. That next batch to the west could build more to the NE I suppose.

Today had a sneaky breeze. For whatever reason I feel like that hinders potential at times. Not a single drop here. Turned out to be an outstanding weather day.

I haven't been keeping up with mid range long range models but a quick peek at Eps shows potential tropical in the day 5-7 range . Looking at H5 hieght anomaly it looks conducive for an up the coast possible track + possible interaction with ull energy.  I'm sure @WxWatcher007is on it

Edit...Ukmet believes.  It has a strong low off central Florida at 144 hr.

If you just let the whole thing turn brown it doesn’t look too bad

Eps extended shows troughiness in the east through day 15 . Meteogram for Carroll county has low mid 80s through the whole period.  I'll take that .

We're due for a year when summer ends early. I seriously doubt this is it but still.

fine by me, the pool is our saving grace this summer. longer it stays open and warm, the better our sanity.

I always fear that actually.  False start fall...then the AC is on in November. Then the clowns come...my other fear

Hopefully this summer we'll be able to say that DCA 1) never reached 100; 2) never had a low >= 80.  (The latter is getting rare in modern times..)

No 80 low would be a bummer.

This month does seem poised to break the record for the warmest minimum of the month at DCA tho. Currently 71 degrees, old record is 67.

90 at home.  78 here at Deep Creek.  Elevation always wins!

How long are you here for?  It's been a great July here.

Morning low was 58 and currently 82...can't get much better than that.

Stalled/decaying fronts, fresh new fronts, waves moving along fronts, and tropical remnants. Looks wet over the next week. Lets hope. Heat with no action is boring af.

Just popped in for the day over at Swallow Falls and Deep Creek State Park.  Staying further East by Cumberland for a few nights.

DCA post-frontal still has no problem getting to 90.  This month just won’t stop.
