If anything, a more amplified storm off the coast will yield a longer fetch if northerly winds and a longer duration event, so if I was the NWS I would mentioning bigger totals now so no one gets blitzed, watch out that ocean storm east of ACY could lead to a longer duration OES event

Timing looks to start by 7am tomorrow morning, I think a winter storm watch would be prudent this afternoon

Nope I would say winter weather advisory at best it should be lake effect snow advisory but not sure they will issue it for the ocean

The NWS snow graphics for the Cape and Islands as well as their CWA. Least amount for CHH is 4" and max is 6" from Hyannis to Chatham up to Provincetown, localized bands could bring 8" of new snow to the area by 2pm Tuesday

The max is the 90th percentile, so more than likely (9 times out of 10) it will be 6" or less.
