So, let's have a contest for a place where consistent winter weather actually exists. For the week of Dec 28 - Jan 3, predict the following: INL - lowest temp INL - lowest wind chill Statewide in MN - lowest temp Statewide in MN - lowest wind chill I will go with: -33 -42 -39 -49 Good luck! I stayed with -39 as a compromise. I plan to go by the PNS that NWS Duluth typically puts out after every significant arctic outbreak in MN. They usually list the coldest wind chills and temps for various stations. I always hear the coldest temp in MN comes out of Tower or Embarrass, but there's no ASOS/AWOS there. I assume they must be CWOP sites or something.
