bingcrosbyb
If RUC verifies, this board might explode. Lots of happy southern snow lovers from 'bama up the coast.

jshetley
next week looks a lot warmer across the Southeast. Big ridging centered in Texas spreads east and west, with cold on the ne corner and nw. We need a warm week around here I think. Maybe it would lead to a major storm down the road that would give the upstate and southern piedmont a good rain event. Then hopefully maybe a decent winter storm in a couple of weeks. bingcrosbyb
How do the temps look on it? Most wetbulbing to snow with surface temps around 33-34 on a pretty long stretch across I-20. Makes me a little jealous of the Carolinas.

eyewall
Looks like I am still in line to endure the second consecutive bday fail overall unless we can get colder quicker than progged. I can't chase this one because i have to play show tomorrow night. I wish I could at least get to Raleigh.

B-day present is the 0z RGEM which says almost everyone gets in on the fail action, so as to not leave you out. http://collaboration.cmc.ec.gc.ca/cmc/cmdn/pcpn_type/pcpn_type_gem_reg.html
KO0588
This storm to me is actually pretty exciting to follow, cause of the uncertainty of whats to come. Reminds me of 01/25/00, when they were just calling for flurries, and we got buried.

eyewall
I really wouldn't worry too much about the RUC radar simulation. This is especially true at 12 hours from that run which is before most precip actually begins in NC anyway.

NCSNOW
This is what the RUC is seeing. warning, Looks can be deceiving: http://www.accuweather.com/us/radar/sir/se/radar.asp?play=true

NCSNOW
Aint got to worry about virga in Triad tonight with this freezing fog, unless their is some sort of mid-level dry layer.
WeatherNC
Okay, I can't help but like the look of this map (per the 3z RUC). Am I missing something? No, good 700 mb omega plume through central NC, areas that see SN out of this would be to the left of that 1300m height line.
bingcrosbyb
Wow, even in northern SC? RUC shows very high UVV values over northern SC/southern NC. So yes. It's possible.
