HoarfrostHubb
Just got back for 2k in Gods country........great trip but activities limited in the Berkshires. No skating, no snow on the ground whatsoever, temps were extremely mild, 30 this morning with very light snow flurries. Spoke to many locals, they are hurting up there big time, what really caught my eye was the fact I did not even see a single snow pile, just amazing. There is still a very small pile left over from October in the Gardner, MA Walmart lot About the size of a fridge I'm thinking of stealing it... CapturedNature
Looks like temps in the low 20s in ON and temps near 40° here.
Damage In Tolland
Couple of folks might be surprised before all is said and done. Might be one of those SW CT LES surprises they are so famous for, also MPM, PETE, and the VT boys?
powderfreak
Definitely was surprised at how fast it moved in today. Ginx was right, patience was needed. The roads were not very good on my drive into town...greasy snow. This is down in the village where we have similar amounts to the base of the mountain. Tropopause_Fold
that BTV wrf is kinda lolz with the meager qpf SE of the lakes tonight. Does the flow become kinda crappy aloft? supporting multi bands in nnw flow as opposed to w?
OSUmetstud
Does the flow become kinda crappy aloft? supporting multi bands in nnw flow as opposed to w? Cold NW flow tonight should support heavy accumulations along the Chautauqua Ridge from SE Erie County, NY to Ashtabula County in NE OH. This is BUF's WRF which I think is pretty accurate for the most part in lake-effect. The arctic front is producing some shear at the moment which is disrupting bands for now but well-aligned flow tonight with very cold 850s should support heavy snow. powderfreak
It's Always Snowy in PowderfreakLand lol and it always helps having a 4,000ft wall on one side of town and a 3,000+ft one on the other side of town. Just think of the snow you would have if the ORH hills were really a spine of over 4,000ft peaks down to Mt Tolland.
powderfreak
Arctic front is starting to work its way south... earlier today 30+dbz produced up to 2"/hr snowfall rates, so we'll see what happens when this gets here. I think everyone gets some white tonight.

klw
We've gotten 3 inches so far since a little before 3 this afternoon. Noticed a nice streamer off of the Georgian Bay portion of Lake Huron and down to Toronto. It makes it almost to Rochester. http://www.weatherof...x_e.html?id=WKR
Ginx snewx
Between midnight and morning there should be some decent squalls coming through. Arctic boundary.
DavisStraight
Between midnight and morning there should be some decent squalls coming through. Arctic boundary. Had a decent one come through here about an hour ago, lasted all of 10 minutes but reminded me of what snow looks like
