CT Rain
lol Ginx starts a thread for a few storms that produce a downpour and 1 or 2 cg strokes... yet is totally unimpressed by one of the more impressive squall lines to move through CT in years last week. To be fair there is a steady stream of dangerous cloud to cloud lightning.
ORH_wxman
I saw that storm out in front of me while driving west on 290 back toward ORH. I was wondering what the hell it was and where it came from.

Mr Torchey
I made a thread about this yesterday. Yes you did, I think scooter said it would just be in the mountains, and tippy thought there would be some storms.
dendrite
There's a low level convergence zone running N-S along the CT River Vly today with just enough instability to fire some low topped cells along it. I think I saw the possibility mentioned in the GYX/BOX AFDs this morning. The 12z models were hitting it too.

HIPPYVALLEY
Nothing spectacular but a few good rumbles out here in Franklin Co. Pretty cool lighting, sky is bright in patches with dark clouds and some nice rolling thunder.

Johnno
wow just had a lightning strike followed instantly by a huge crack that shook the house, storm has been past for almost a half hour too, really weird, just the one
w1pf
We are getting soaked here. Heavy rain (~.75in/hr). I had unfortunately believed the "20% chance of precipitation" and didn't tarp some things to withstand this monsoon. Oh well, good thing I don't play the lottery.
