For some reason the 0Z OUN sounding is not accessible, but the 0Z FWD sounding is INCREDIBLE. SBCAPE of 3860 J/kg with 0-3km SRH of over 600!

A few bright spots in a tornado year like this one... I have no doubt a violent tornado would've plowed right through the Metroplex if MLLCLs were not nearly 1.5 km high. An incredible case of good luck.

Just blew up SW of Fayetteville AR

Judging by the radar motions, this would pass safely to the west of Fayetteville - but it wouldn't take much of a "right turn" to change that.

Hoping this circulation\possible tornado stays away from Fayetteville - a tornado at night in a populated area is not needed at this point\ever.

0Z launches are released at 23Z (ideally, although the window is 2230-00z). Can't release when there are large thunderstorms over the area.

I'm in Sallisaw and we had maybe 60-70mph winds coming from the North. They were not outflow winds but must have been wrapping into the circulation to the south heading for Fort Smith. My car was rocking back and forth infront of me in the wind...

Tornado with debris reported SE of Dallas. Per Dallas County RACES.

Based on the quality of work I heard from the woman leading the RACES this evening, I really would doubt any report coming in from that source. Around the same time this report came in I was watching a large rotating wall cloud about 3 miles southeast of I-20 on Highway 175. It was quite low, but if there was any ground contact it was quite brief and not a 'wedge' type of appearance.

Thousands without power in Fort Smith.

As for the tornadic storm from South LeFlore County earlier, structural damage in Heavener and Howe from that storm.

EDIT:

Trampoline struck a house in Spiro, ripping its satelite dish off.

Numerous trees uprooted in Fort Smith, now 5,000 without power.

Shingles ripped off in South Fort Smith.

OUN tends to do that, they'll release all the reports later tonight.

FYI-SPC was shut down and evacuated for a while when it looked as though they could get hit. It's likely they didn't get those reports. Hopefully the backup unit at Scott AFB will be able to provide those reports tomorrow to SPC.

True but the reports come from the local weather offices when they do LSR's, so SPC being evacuated probably is not the reason for the lack of reports around central OK.
