At the rate this is falling, I think it MIGHT accumulate on the sun..... BTW, on radar that isn't heavy rain passing over me in western VA, it is bright banding from the wet heavy snow.

All snow here, and WOW at the size of the flakes, half dollar and larger!! Everything has gone white and we are accumulating fast. 33.7/32.0

A 1/3 1/3 1/3 of rain sleet and snow here now, temp down to 34.1/32.0, starting to accumulate on decks and cars.

Rain and an occasional mangled flake and sleet pellet, 35.7/33.5 here. Can't see mountains, I'd say they are getting white again. EDIT- oh, and it is right raw out there, E wind at 12 gusting to 22...

I'm more interested in panels 12 and 15, but 26 would do...

That second storm with hail pushed my temp down to 44 degrees now. Starting to clear to the SW, VERY dark off to my NE. I'm not sure I've ever turned in two hail reports in one day, much less 25 to 30 minutes apart lol.

Set a record 'warm minimum' of 51.1 degrees here, breaking the old mark of 49 from 1997. Another 0.80 in the gauge this morning after thunderboomers overnight.

1.16" here, which is a new daily record for 4/6.

My numbers for March 2022 Total precip was 1.98 inches vs a normal of 3.52 inches, a -1.54 inches below normal. Wettest day was the 24th with 0.57 inches falling. There were 11 days with measurable, 5 days with a 'T' and 15 dry days. Total snowfall for the month was 2.3 inches vs a normal of 4.5 inches, a -2.2 inches below normal. The snowiest days were the 12th and 13th with 0.8 inches each. There were 3 days with measurable snow, 2 'T's and 26 days without snow. There were only 2 days with measurable snow on the ground at 7 am ob. The averaged high was 58.5 degrees vs a normal of 54.4 degrees, a +4.1 degrees above average. The warmest day was the 7th with a 75.2 degree reading. The averaged low was 32.3 degrees vs a normal of 30.0 degrees, a +2.3 degrees above average. The coldest temp recorded was 15.7 degrees on the 12th and 13th. The overall averaged temp was 45.4 degrees vs a normal of 42.2 degrees, a +3.2 degrees above average. The highest wind recorded was 51 mph on the 13th. One new record, a 'cool max' set on the 13th. VERY windy month with 12 days recording winds above 25 mph. A warm and drier month than normal.

Just enough rain fell before daylight to make everything wet, a giant 0.01 in the gauge. lol Warm at 46.7 degrees.

Sitting at 19.4 for the year, about 75% of seasonal average, had about 21-22 days with snow on the ground at measurement time, also about 70-75% of average. BUT, most of that was Jan, which I'd give an A- to, rest of the winter, especially Dec gets a fat F. First measurable snow was into Jan, fail. Overall, a C-.

30 this morning, least the wind isn't blowing....yet. Crazy how windy it became again yesterday, especially in the afternoon, 25-35 gusts. Sheesh. I agree with Mappy, easily one of the windiest weeks I can remember. Oh, and the 'mostly sunny with increasing clouds late afternoon' forecast is toast. Sun was out first thing, now completely clouded over and glancing at satellite gonna stay that way.

That is the one thing we do exceptionally well in the mid atlantic.....wind. If it is forecast, it happens. Unlike rain or snow or even cloud cover, those are missed often, wind, nope. Heck, we can have 20-30 mph winds at times and they not even in forecast!

Mother Nature up to some April Fool's stuff, nice snow shower just blasted through, just coated surfaces since it is 41 out there. Still nice to see!

LOL, I had like a minute of 3/8-1/2" hail...

Sun has broke out in last 90 minutes and temp/DP has soared from 61/58 to 72/64. A warning just to my NW went up about 15 minutes ago and I can see a storm incoming in the distance.
