    I'm sitting at 1.40 for the month, only because I got lucky on the 21st with a small training line of showers that day that dropped 0.56. No where NEAR records though, Oct of 2000 was my driest month ever at only 0.02 inches, for the entire month. 2nd place goes to Sept of 1985 with 0.10 and 3rd is Nov of 2001 with 0.31 inches.

    Warmer this morning at 42 degrees, yesterday I was outside working in the yard and had a shadow go by me, looked up and TWO bald eagles were circling around looking/hunting. One was down low, maybe 50-75 foot off the ground, other was up higher, maybe 200-300 foot. Watched them for 10-15 minutes head off slowly to the NE in slow circles. First time I've seen bald eagles here on the property in all the years I've been here.

    Low of 32.3 here, currently 34.2. Agree with above ^^ funny seeing the airport at 3700 foot level currently at 53 degrees....

    No freeze, but close. 32.5 degrees was low about 5 am, then the wind picked up and temp rose to 33.7 at 7 am ob time. Currently 41.1 at 10 am.

    0.56" fell here. Currently cloudy with still a bit of light drizzle/mist. 49.2/43.2, breezy!

    About 0.35 in gauge now here, had a rumble or two of thunder about an hour ago even stuck down at 50 degrees.

    Was 52.5 at 7 am ob, rain has moved in and currently 49.7/47.8. About 0.15 in gauge so far eyeballing it from the house.

    Feels like a prelude to winter today, just 20 degrees to warm. High was 53.9 about an hour ago, currently 52.5/40.1 with clouds and sprinkles and a NW wind 7 gusting to 13 mph. Mostly cloudy day with sprinkles and light showers, then maybe a 5 minute hint of sun then repeat. Looks like maybe .02 or .03 in the gauge. No record for a 'cool max' though, that belongs to 2009 at 50.5 degrees.

    Pretty decent thundershower rolled thru here about an hour ago, top gust 29 mph from W. About 0.13 in gauge after a 0.03 at 7 am this morning.

    Yep, that event is where my record keeping started, amazing here, close to 10 inches fell. We had no power for 3 days due to all the trees broken off and uprooted across power lines. I think most of the lower (southern) Shenandoah Vally got 4-8 inches with the mountains getting a bit more. Bonus, there was PLENTY of firewood for the next several seasons.

    Currently 38.5/36.9 after a 37.5 low here, but no frost. Do have the fog AGAIN though.

    Currently 40.4 degrees, temps rose after bottoming out at 37.6 degrees around 3 am. Foggy!! Picked up .14 from the rain yesterday.

    Made it up to 56.4 degrees before the rain moved in a bit over an hour ago, down to 51.5 degrees currently. Almost a tenth in the gauge.

    LOL, well my average for that date is 64/38 for a 51 normal, a -18 to -19 WOULD be right chilly.

    Low of 38.8 here about 4 am, temp has risen in last couple hours, currently 40.3/36.7.

    And I'll add this here, didn't see that a thread had been opened. This is from yesterday's trip into WV, this is on Rt 150 (Highland Scenic Hwy) just south of where it crosses Williams river, about 3600-3700 elevation.

    We are headed to central TX for the April one. Was just SE of Maryville TN for the last one, awesome event!

    Took off for Gaudineer Knob and Scenic Area (about 4500 elevation) yesterday up thru Monterey and then back down the Highland Scenic Hwy. Trees were absolutely stunning in places. Above 4K is slightly past peak, 3K to 4K IS peak and below 3K is about a week away. Just a FYI in case anyone thinking of heading that way.

    Didn't quite make it into 30's, low was 40.8 degrees. Didn't break 60 yesterday with a 59.8 high. Breezy.

    Nice even 0.50 in the gauge this morning! Front must be thru here, NW breezes, pressure is rising and partly cloudy skies now. 52.6/50.0 currently at 7:40 am.
