I remember February's of past....

Just got back from Roanoke (well Rocky Mount picking up new furniture) and it was 65/66 on bank therms an hour ago, 61 when I went by the bank at Daleville 45 minutes ago and either 52 or 53 depending on which of the 4 thermometers I have up at the house when I got in...

Was 22.4 at 7 am ob, only a 30 degree difference from yesterday at same time. Just enough wind blown snow to see in cracks and corners, almost seems like winter again.

Sitting right at 4 inches of rain for the month, if someone said you'd be at 4 inches for the month back in November I'd have been a happy (and snow-envisioning) person.

Set two records for the date, the 1.68 inches breaks 2003's 1.18 rainfall mark, the 45.8 degree low breaks 2012's 43.8 'warm minimum' degree reading. Temps were stuck right at 50 almost all day and night with rain (heavy overnight). The 'high' of 52.5 happened right at the 7 am reading, already down to 48.9 at 10:30 and getting windy.

That is crazy!

Quite the difference between here (51 and raining) and Roanoke 72 and partly cloudy. That is probably 30 miles as the crow flies (long as it goes straight).

Well... NOTHING says February like a good thundershower before 10 am. Sheesh Probably had 5 or 6 good long rumbles and one solid hit and crack.

LOL, cloudy and 41.7/19.5 here at the moment, although glancing at satellite we may break out of the clouds shortly. What it IS is windy, WNW at 11 gusting to 20 mph. Maybe that 2 inches of cold 33 degree rain with a bit of sleet cooled the ground here lol.

Same here this morning, several folks did the slip 'n slide coming to work.

Set a new daily rainfall record of 1.78 inches. Sleet mixed in at times. Temp hung right at 32.5-33.5 all day. Total precip for the storm was 2.04 inches. Doing a little math, a sloppy 6 or 7 to 1 ratio if snow would have gave 12 to 14 inches.... what a terrible winter this has been.

IDK, 33.2 and heavy rain with a few sleet pellets thrown in seems pretty trashy...

Truth

Although the highest wind I recorded so far today has been 39 mph, still had quite a few 2-4" branches broken out of trees.

Don't worry, we'll have some -20/-15 days in April and May to compensate
