One of the reasons I'm thankful to be 'up in the hills', especially this time of year. Currently 77.3/69.6 at 10:15 am after a 64.6 low this morning.

Only hit 87.8 here today after a 91.5 high yesterday. Lots more clouds during the day helped a bit, but no actual rain fell. Yesterday and day before got almost 1/2" combined in afternoon thunderstorms.

I told my wife about a week ago it seems from day 4/5 thru 10/14 it shows LOTS of rain/showers, then pulls back when the 4/5 gets to 1/3. Rinse and repeat.

Just a glance once home, looks like somewhere in the .20-.25 range shining a bright flashlight towards the gauge. Not as much as hoped, but better than nothing.

Just enough rain to wet everything about 20 minutes ago. Still some stuff and headed in this general direction, let's see if it makes it. Currently 83.4/68.0.

Hit 87.9 about an hour ago, somehow we have managed to have clouds move in.... I'll take it for the cooler air. Currently 85.4/65.3.

My numbers for June 2024 Averaged high was 82.8 degrees vs a normal of 80.3 degrees, a +2.5 degrees above average. The warmest temperature recorded was 92.2 degrees on the 23rd. Averaged low was 56.8 degrees vs a normal of 57.3 degrees, a -0.5 degrees below average. The coldest temperature recorded was 40.8 degrees on the 1st. Overall averaged temp was 69.8 degrees vs a normal of 68.8, a +1.0 degrees above average. Total rainfall for the month was 1.79 inches vs a normal of 4.24 inches, a -2.45 inches below average and slides into 4th driest behind 1999's 0.85, 1980's 1.48 and 2005's 1.75 inches. The wettest days were the 6th and 27th with 0.65 inches. There were only 7 days with measurable, 2 with 'T's' and 21 dry days. The highest wind recorded was 31 mph on the 6th. Overall a very dry and semi-warm month. One new record, the 0.65 inches on the 6th set a new daily rainfall.

51.3 for the low here this morning. Canaan ALMOST made it to freezing!

Down to 54.0 around 6:30 for the low, currently 55.4/54.1 at 8 am here, delightful. Saw the Canaan site was in low 40's!!

89.5 for a high here, we had clouds and a W breeze at times. 66.3 for a low, currently 68.4/66.2. Had just enough water from a shower that passed north of me to hit the 0.01 mark in the rain gauge lol. Sheesh.

Well, not a record (94 in '88 and '06) but first +90 of the year here at 92.2 for the high. Currently 66.9/64.2 with partly cloudy skies. Hoping for a storm this evening, starting to get dry.

Currently 88.8/66.2 here at 1:10 pm. I'll break yesterday's high for the year with ease and likely get into 90's at this rate. Oh, HI of 92.

OUCH, that is 111. Nasty.

I was just telling my wife (who has only been here for 3 summers and lived 95% of her life in CA) that it USED to hit 100 or so here 'back in the day'. I'll have to go pull records, but I'm thinking 2012 was last time here?? Growing up 98, 99, 100 was common a few days each summer.

Strange how it works some years here. I've had several years that never have cracked 90 in my past 44 + years of records, then a couple years with LOTS of 95 to 97 degree days. Forecast is for 92 today, so may break thru. Currently 80.1/68.2 at 10:30 am.

Maxed out at 89.0 here about 5:15 pm yesterday, warmest day of the year by far. Currently 64.6/63.3 with just a bit of haze in an otherwise clear sky.

Currently 87.4/63.3 at 4:30 after an 88.2 high about 30 minutes ago. Warmest day so far this year here.

Currently 79.8/71.1 after a thundershower rolled thru between 2 and 2:30 pm. High was 84.2 just before the storm.

Sun starting to break thru the clouds here, up to 78.2 degrees at 4 pm after being in low to mid 70's all day. Was 55 this morning. SO MUCH different from the forecast for today back several days ago of 90-91 for a high. The temps for this weekend have been lowered every day since last Monday when mid 90's were called for. Was it last summer or the one before that massive heat was called for but it was punted down the road about a week at a time?

Another upper 40's low here, currently 50.2/49.3 at 7:15 am. We are gonna pay dearly for these last few wonderful days. Glanced at Canaan Valley NWR site, currently 38/34 after almost getting to freezing overnight.

Somehow I missed entering, oh well. Just for giggles. 25/8/5

Didn't quite make the 40's here at my location, low was 50.6 degrees. Currently 50.9/48.9 with a few high cirrus in the sky. Would like to bottle some of this up for what is coming over the next few months.

Calling for 52 here. Currently temp/DP is 66.2/48.8 after a 78.8 high. THIS is nice weather.
