    Yeah with these winds and low humidity this has been prime for fires catching and spreading through the mountains.

    How's my Maggie Valley peeps holding up with the fire up there. Have heard it is up to 100 acres currently.

    No real changes in todays model runs for the event this weekend.

    Overnight models continue to look really good for this upcoming weekend. Looks dang cold also.

    Had a low of 23 this morning but the big deal is heading into next weekend. Currently this may be a multi-day upslope event with pulses of energy rotating around a trough sweeping in.

    Had a cold low of 21 degrees and a pretty cool day today. Love these days.

    When I left for work we were down to 25 degrees this morning. Impressive for the end of March. The grass hasn't even started growing yet.

    Yeah even with the warmth here and there. January was really blockbuster for us.

    The 00z Euro is also very similar to the GFS.

    The ooz GFS still looks on target to deliver some cold air and some upslope snow this weekend so far. We will see how things shake out but the GFS has been pretty consistent with this.

    Yeah both the EURO and GFS are honking at NW flow with some well below average temps in the time-frame WNCsnow is talking about.

    Just got home from watching the new Bateman movie. Currently down to 10. Might be one of the coldest nights of the season.

    Was just going to posy that it is absolutely ripping again. We should continue to see snow into early night tonight. The wind is howling and the temps continue to fall.

    Intensity has really picked up. Just hammering out there currently.

    This wind is freaking impressive. Just absolutely roaring through the mountains with these snow squalls.
