  1. Station warmest August on record is 2016 while warmest met summer is 2010...both are in play.
  2. 88° today before the showers...0.28".
  3. Yeah a small but well placed shower dropped 0.26" here and dropped temp from 88° down to 77°.
  4. Just 1.83" there since 7/1.
  5. 89° for high...you can see when sea breeze shifted wind and dropped temp .
  6. 91° here also today... 32nd, 90°+ day for season.
  7. I think this event has gone pretty much as expected with the heavier rains to the nw and other scattered areas ( Jersey shore)...it is after all, convective.

  9. Sea breeze moved thru around 2pm...dropped temp from 91° down to 83 currently.

  11. Warmest Aug here was in 2016, warmest summer was 2010 and driest summer was 1999, among the records in play for me.

  13. Yeah it's really only been dry for a couple of months...our problems arise if we have very dry winters and springs..that's when our reservoirs fill up.
  14. Yes then 10" more in September when Ida started the month. It was crazy.
  15. Still a couple of weeks to go of course, but rainfall here for July-Aug last year was 20.98"...so far this year 2.50"... normal is 9.40".
  16. This dry pattern started abuptly last year after the absurdly wet July- Oct period. Nov and Dec came in with under 2" of rain each month here...Jan - May were close to normal with the dryness returning in June for many of us.
  17. 0.25" this am... hi temp yesterday of 85°.
  18. Lots of clouds around today...holding at 84°.
  19. Yup stuck at 0.53" for the month and 2.30" since July 1st. Still 84/75 currently.
  20. 100° high here today. Couple storms to my north and south but nothing here yet.
  21. Yeah considering the heat we've had and the air mass change, would have expected a better rain outlook. Warmest am here this summer at 79°.
