September finished here with a +0.9° temp departure...the first ten days were about +7°, so we made up a lot the last couple weeks. Rainfall of 9.75" which is my 3rd wettest in 42 years.

The rain was much more significant with Irene vs Gloria....About 3.50" for Gloria and 8.01" for Irene here on si.

Astro summer here was wet with 19.09" of rain which is 6th highest in 42 years...last summer saw just 8.50 ". -

Hi temps here from mon thru Friday....91, 92, 94, 95, 91.

Certainly the most humid day of the week...with temps near 90° at many stations, dew points are in the mid to upper 70's.

What type of equipment do they use at those njwxnet stations if you're familiar? I assume it's just observers with their own pws.

Problem with alot of the pws with the sun shining on the shield....aspirated is the way to go but they are expensive.

Is it always reading high or just when the sun is shining on it?

Yeah don't know when it became acceptable to use rooftop stations as official but several in the local mesonets are. Of course we have the problem of improperly sited pws also.
