    Been a bit dry at this station since June 1st with 2.38" of rain...that's about 4" below normal for that short span.

    My area (Staten Island) usually does pretty good with convection, in fact my July avg rainfall is over 5 inches. But not this year with this more or less dry pattern since September.

    93/72 temp split for Wednesday...with all the potential last three days, have picked up just 0.21" rain .

    Had a high yesterday of 92°.... Got done with the yard work just in time as thunderstorm followed with 0.27" rain and 39 mph gust .
