    Astro summer rain here of 8.34" was 4th lowest in 45 years of record.

    30 days here of 90° plus heat this season, last one back on Aug 18th. Normal is around 22 days... Highest 44 days in 2010.

    Not including this month yet but since last September, 5 months have had under 2" of rain here. 12 month precip totals getting down into the upper 20's inch range.

    Just a 70° high here today after 90° yesterday.

    1.30" rain here since yesterday and 1.68" since Thursday.... a cool 65° currently.

    Warmest day in a while...up to 87° high, had 0.40" rain overnight.

    Same split first two days of month, 78/56 . Now 12 straight days with no measurable rain.

    Yeah can't remember a dry pattern like this in a long time ...now been going on for a year with my station receiving 31.65" rain in the past 12 months which is a 17" deficit!

    August here on si finished up as tied for 5th coolest in 49 years and coolest since 2000. Met summer rain of 7.72" is 5th driest. August rain of just 1.65".

    Another great day 76/55 temp split.... August turned out to be the total opposite of July.

    Don't believe it's happened before at my station but August will wind up cooler mean temp than June.

    56° this am... High temps of 69 and 73 for Wed and Thurs with 0.84" rain.

    Had 0.35" with the t storm earlier... Very hot high temp of 94° after am 71°.

    Pretty strong sea breeze all day today so high just reached 82°. Yesterday's high was 88° so heat wave here was 3 days.

    Lost power at station on si for 75 minutes.... Had 0.50" in short time, lightning and thunder was pretty impressive.

    Leveled off at 89° here today as winds went onshore early this afternoon.

    Since September 1st to today, have received around 30" of rain...that's around 15" below normal for that period. That's the driest I've ever seen for almost a twelve month period.
