Yes I'm just about 1 mile from the river... I know the Billop house well, been there several times. My Travis house is our family home that my dad built in 1959 and where my weather equipment has been for ages. Truth be told we have been in some conversations about selling, so don't know what the future holds.

This Feb was my 9th coldest with a 29.4° mean and 5th snowiest with 25.9". Also 5th coldest met winter... 50 years of record.

When I do my stats for winter, this will be in the top 5 for cold .

Today's 23" gives me 52.7" for the season.

Also I have a nyc mesonet station right down the street from me...it has a snow depth sensor...it helps me verify my totals.

Just relentless here. Been under this heavy band for several hours now...had an additional 6" from when I shoveled few hours ago, so up to 20" now.

As noted, tough to measure but 15" seems about right on si.....heavy snow last few hours and still heavy.

Calling this winter "relatively short" ...don't know about that, Dec and Jan both with -3.5° temp departures and double normal snowfall for many of us. Feb with a -9° departure so far. Of course we've been so dry this month however.

Barely any precip since the 25th snowstorm ( 0.02" ) so we'll be going on 3 weeks of dryness before our next chance of precip. Drought ongoing .

Unfortunately I don't have records for various time ranges...if you use calendar months then a 20° mean would put it near my coldest on station record ... Of course that would be for 30 days .
