Past 18 days here, every day but two have had a low temp below 20°... normal low is 23°.

Winds finally dropped off here after 3 am with low dropping to 14°. Every day but one, since 1/19 has had a low below 20°.

January here finished as the coldest month since Feb 2015 with a 28.3° mean, even with an 8 day thaw from the 8th thru the 15th where the temp hit 50° five times. Snowfall of 17.6" and precip of 2.79".

11.6" storm total, LE 1.58".... MTD 17.6", YTD 28.0". -

Stats for the day... High 20° low 12° .... Snow/sleet 11.5"... le 1.57".

See some droplets on the window so must be some light freezing rain now... Just hit 20°.

About 1.5" of sleet since the 2pm changeover... temps been bouncing around last couple hours, currently 16.5 .

Mostly sleet mixing with snow at times.... temp has gone back down to 15 after reaching 17 .

About half inch of sleet after 10" of snow with 1.02" equivalent.

Picked up 2" from this second round to go along with 1" this am so right at my 3" prediction . 2" yesterday so 5" for the two days. Remember late last week when it was looking like less than a half inch for sat and today's storm staying mostly south? At least for my area anyway.

Seems like it's been going as planned... Was expecting around 3" personally and another 1.5-2.0 would get me there... Also total LE was around 0.35" and we've had about half that so not far off.

Had a quick inch here this morning... really just been light last several hours with brief spurts of heavier...just 0.16" le so far.

2" nice surprise here on si....started out with a temp of 36° a few hours ago, down to 32° now. Snowing lightly currently. LE of 0.18".

Looking like another dry month with just 0.71" here so far and not much on the horizon... Last Jan was my driest on record with 0.58". Not gonna get alot of snow with those numbers regardless of how cold it is. Since Sept 2024, station running a -22" precip departure.

My station precip for 2025 was 33.96".... This was the driest on my record of 45 years. The two previous driest are 37.68" in 2001 and 38.26" in 2016.

Dec finished here on si with a -4.7° departure and the 7th coldest in 48 years and the coldest since 2010. Snowfall of 10.4"... Excellent Dec in my opinion.
